Made for A4 hanging folders — extremely hard to find

The file cabinet looks great, came in sturdy shipping, and seems to be well-constructed.
However, the width specifications ONLY accommodate A4 size hanging folders, which I’m discovering are extremely hard to find. From what I’m reading, this seems like a European thing?
There’s a movable divider in the drawer, so you could hang letter and legal size folders longways... if you want to lose about a third of the storage space. And if you do so, you’d have to hang them starting from the back half of the drawer, because there’s no lip on the front end.
Looks like I’ll have to shell out for $15 shipping on a $15 pack of hanging file folders, because returning the cabinet would be too much trouble at this point.
