A: You can hand wash or machine wash this mop head. Only non-chlorine detergent, if needed. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets.

Pick up dog hair

I was looking for something to pick up dog hair and this does a great job. it also came with an additional mop head so you can wash it and have one to use till it dries. It has a metal screw that holds the handle to the head that can move in almost every direction and gives you good control when going under furniture or near cabinets. The handle is extra-long so you don't have to stoop to use it.

Great Fiber Mop for Hard Surfaces

This 1 foot wide fiber mob works great for my tile and hard wood floors. I really picks up the dust/dirt and I can shake the mop to release it either outside or in a corner can vacuum it up the items. This works very well getting into smaller locations around end tables, the tile bathroom, the edges around floor molding and the kitchen. It even comes with a spare mop that is easily installed over the bamboo head. I like the bamboo handle as well.

Perfect balance between usability and sustainability

You won't find any plastic on this mop, and that's just great! I was getting very, very frustrated by my top brand quick mop with disposable refills. Frankly, the handle was flimsy, and worse yet, the sweeping cloth didn't stay on the head. I had two different versions, and they both had this problem. If you have one of those, you know what I'm talking about. And the disposable cloths are convenient, but the expense adds up, and we really need to think twice about all we throw away. Enter this Harper/Ames bamboo, metal and reusable microfiber mop system. This is truly eco-friendly. The bamboo wood is one of the best woods around to use since it is so sustainable. The rest of the parts are metal. Someday far in the future, when I'm done with this product, the wood parts are compostable, and the metal truly recyclable. Better yet, the product WORKS. Unlike my top brand disposable system, I can lean into the pole on this and bear down on the floor surface. The pole is ONE piece. This is important! My sheet vinyl has small grooves, so you need to lean into the mop to help it clean. The wrap around cloth stays put on the head. What a pleasure! It did great with my Pergo laminate and plain water. For the sheet vinyl, I added a little vinegar to the water. I have also used the replacement mop head dry, and it does OK. After use, a simple run under the faucet a few times and then wringing out did the trick. Maybe every few uses I'll put it in the wash. Most of the time, a strong hand rinse seems fine. I have almost nothing to improve on this product except maybe add 2" of length to the pole for taller users. But I understand, the length they chose is best for everyone. Superb! Made in China

Great for Pergo floors

First thing I did when I purchased my house was install Pergo floors. With pets that shed, it is nice for easy clean up. I especially like that it came with an extra pad. Picks up hair easily. It is lightweight, but sturdily made. Easy to screw on mop head. Washable mop top, that can clean under tables, chairs and sofas. Has a little strap that you can use to hand in closet.

The mop pulls up dog hair and fine dust without having to wet the mop. They include 2 mop heads so you can wash one and still be able to use the mop with the extra mop head provided. This mop will save a lot of $$$$ as you will not have to use throw away pads.
