How are animals released from the trap (not shown in your videos)?

Open the door with the lever on top, always have the opening away from you. If the animal is facing you, hit or kick the back to make it look the other way. It will run out.

The door lock is missing. Can you send me the missing part

can this be used more than once? from the comments it does not seem very sturdy

This can absolutely be used over and over. We caught two raccoons that we relocated and a cat (by mistake) that we quickly set free. I think the cage is quiet sturdy. The raccoon tried with all its might to get out but couldn't and to release them is very easy. It's a very humane way to relocate animals and worth every penny.

We had really good luck with this trap. We had, what I thought was one very brazen raccoon threatening our chicken. We got this trap and caught it within an hour and took it to an undeveloped, safe wooded area where it can thrive 'n stuff. Truth be told, I saw it go inside the cage and back out a couple times without the trap going off. Can you imagine that? That's why I posted some suggestions below. Through trial and error we learned what works and what doesn't. When we got back we set the trap again just to see if there were any more critters lurkin' around. Well, guess what? We got another one in like 5 seconds! Here's some suggestions if you want: Peanut butter, my friends. Holy cow did these raccoons love Peter Pan Honey Roasted Peanut Butter. I would suggest placing the BACK of the trap against a wall or hard place then put a little glob of peanut butter at the ENTRANCE of the trap and then a larger glob of peanut butter kinda' UNDER the door closing mechanism (ya know the flat piece inside the cage that the raccoon steps on to activate the door closing thing). They are way more bound to set the trap off if they have to fool around near the foot mechanism area to get all the peanut butter and it ensures they are far enough in the cage that the door will completely close. Don't get carried away though. You wanna keep the peanut butter in the center but under the foot mechanism. You don't want it to be able to grab and peanut butter with its hands from outside. And why put the back side of the cage against a wall you might ask. Well, because it entices them to go around to the front instead of obsessing about the larger glob at the back of the cage that they can't reach but will try for way too long anyway. Y'all probably got some better suggestions but this is what worked like a charm for me. Thanks for reading and best of luck to you.

I put it together in 2 minutes, put it out and caught to raccoons at the same time that night. It handle the weight as I transport them to a new home far away. I wasn't sure if a "collapsible would be strong enough, no worried now. Easy release handle was nice when I freed them.

This trap worked great for my need. The assembly was easy, took 10 minutes, most of this time was spent reading the directions and making sure I understood it. I did not use gloves or try to remove my scent in any way, and did not try to conceal the trap, just set it down beside my garden fence. I caught the groundhog that was raiding my garden the second day I set up the trap, using only total both days 1/2 of a cantaloupe. No problem putting the trap with him in it in the back of my truck, took him about 5 miles away as recommended, set the trap on the ground, raised the trap door and he took off for the woods. Pest exterminators in NC say they have to kill any trapped animal, I didn't want to have him killed, plus they charge $300 for their service. I spent about $50 for the cage and $2 for the cantaloupe.

Trap was bend and out of alinement from packaging being to small or packer didn't care about how packing was done. This is a good idea, but care needs to be taken of the product, all the way to the paying customer. I would have returned Item to store, but figured another one would be just as bad. I spent a week and a half, fixing problems from bad size carton. Rating & Recommendation would be a lot higher with a little care.

I bought this after using a neighbors trap that was not made as well as this one that I witnessed raccoons easily escaping from. I must say that I am very impressed with this trap, it is easy to set and release the animal safely and is built very well. The 3 racoons I trapped that were tearing up my lawn were captured in 3 days (one per night). They all did their best to escape non stop but couldn't escape from this trap. I highly recommend buying this trap

The trap doesn't come fully assembled, but since it's a collapsible trap ( for storage) that's understandable. Clearer instructions to set it up would have been helpful. Once it was together it seemed to be of decent quality and functioned well. The quick release/trap set handle on top is VERY handy when releasing the live animals. The carrying handle is good quality and the square metal at the handle is sufficient size to protect from animals reaching through and scratching your hand as you carry them. The quick release/ trap set handle is also able to allow some sensitivity to the pressure plate trigger. During use, I did use a couple of zip ties on the back door to tighten gaps and eliminate temptation the animal might have to try and force a gap wider to escape. The zip ties will be easy to snip off when I break it down for storage. So far I've caught 5 raccoons, 1 opossum, and 6 squirrels. I've used other live traps that are about $40, but the material was cheaper (smaller gauge wire and larger mesh openings) and the cheap spot welds and trap door broke quickly. This trap has held up well so far.
