Q:LED, which brand and type ACTUALLY worked for you? Company says "made to be used with incandescent bulbs" As of 8/1/2023 this is a potential show stopper. However, development says 100 watt equivalent dimmable LED should work. Otherwise I like them,

Q:I have one and it works in reverse. I know wiring and have double checked it but the light is bright when on and goes dim when there is motion. Any ideas?

Great lantern
This lantern was everything i expected. Quality product, full featured settings and easy installation. You may consider a base plate depending on your siding configuration. I was able to cut into mine for a custom fit.

A combination of beauty and functionally in one lamp. My wife loves the look of these lamps, we got three of them, and it was easy to install them. But I found out since we have an older home and wiring the dimming part didn't work out so well. I bought the dimmable bulbs but it they started strobing. So I turned off the dimming function and just made them on or off for the motion sensor. They have good range, and I had to set them down a bit from the max. And I like the shorter time frame of one minute, but it will stay on if there is motion, so it shuts off after there is no motion for one minute, kind of like a screensaver on a computer. I like leaving them all the time, so I don't forget to turn them on and have the wife yell at me for not turning on the lights for her, so the motion sensor and light sensor to keep them off during the day was the way to go!

I have very bad eyesight and I picked this lamp because it turns on by itself at dusk at 1/2 brig...
I have very bad eyesight and I picked this lamp because it turns on by itself at dusk at 1/2 brightness until you get near it and it glows full. It makes it so much easier for me especially in the dark. By the way this is the second one I have purchased. The first one was close to 13 years old. I like it!

Great light. I like the dimming feature and motion sensor works very well. Replaced the same light purchased 18 years ago. The original stopped working when it rained.
