Heath Zenith is the Best
I have had at least 5 Heath Zenith motion lights and they have lasted a long time. The last one I replaced was 14 years old. I just replaced a light yesterday 10/10/23, and not because it wasn't working but because I wanted a new style.
It was 10 years old and was still working! I included photos of new and old light I replaced on 10/10/23. I had other light brands but to only find out that they lasted only a few years. I am using this new one as a dusk to dawn light.

Great motion & light sensor fixture at a reasonable price.
This was delivered fast. This was a reasonably priced fixture, considering the functions. It was installed professionally. I'm happy with the functionality. Motion sensor and timer are adjustable. It works well in conjunction with my security cameras.

I bought 7 of these lights and installed them. They are very well made and attractive. One of the 7 lit only once and then would not light again; a second unit did not have the cap nuts to secure the light to the electrical box. I returned the inoperative light to Home Depot and got a refund, and I called the manufacturer who said they will ship the replacement cap nuts to me. Without these issues I would have rated these lights as "excellent".

Very elegant looking, sturdy built and super bright. They easily mounted into pre-existing holes and fit secure. Besides getting them for their nostalgic look we wanted the motion detecting feature which works great. We enjoy the integrated the dusk till dawn feature as well, no more having to turn them on and off. The lens distribute the light evenly in all directions with a wide radius.

Poor quality - plastic lens cracks after a few years
Bought 5 of these lights and all have the same problem. After a few years (past manufacturers warranty) the curved plastic motion sensor lens becomes very fragile and will develop cracks. Once this happens, the motion sensor capabilities will not work correctly.
Heath Zenith will not replace the part or the fixture. Your only option is to discard the whole fixture and buy a replacement.
If you want something that only lasts 4 or 5 years then this product is fine.
However, if you are looking for a quality fixture that will stand the test of time, this isn't it.

I purchased this motion detecting outside light so I could use the "DualBrite" feature. It allows the light to have a dimmed light function that goes to full brightness when motion is detected. I read through the instructions and possible light bulb types and it shows "incandescent" but does not exclude dimmable LED. In fact, the company website (and product box) shows for the 4175 "Bulb type: 1-100 Watt Medium Base" and does not specify incandescent and clearly does not exclude dimmable LED. I installed the light with a CREE dimmable LED light bulb and the fixture worked for two days and then would no longer detect motion and the dimming feature no longer worked. I contacted Heath Zenith technical support and was told by their tech that the dimmable LED had damaged the "circuit" - meaning the dimming and motion detecting function. I ask why, if they know there is a marginality with dimmable LED light bulbs, they did not specifically exclude them in their product manual (or website). I was told (by the second tech) that Home Depot did not want that information in the product manual – I actually doubt that since Home Depot has to deal with the returns. I like the looks of the 4175 and reinstalled a new one but using with a 60-watt incandescent bulb. So, my recommendation is if you chose this light – and I guess any of the Heath Zenith motion detecting light fixtures – plan on only using inefficient incandescent bulbs not power saving LEDs. And by the way, I was told by the first Heath Zenith tech that I could “experiment” with different brands of dimmable LEDs, which seemed completely pointless if the “experiment” results in damaging the lights dimming and motion detecting circuits! If you want more information on problems using incandescent dimmers (most common type of home dimmers) and LED lights, Google “Using dimmers with LED light bulbs”.

The light that this one replaced would turn on with each passing vehicle. With this one I can adjust the distance and duration of the lighting. The price was right, the lamp was nicer than nice. Two thumbs up for this porch light.
