AnswerHello, Thanks for the question. This button is only 3.5 inches tall overall. The screws would not be 5 inches apart on this unit.

The doorbell ringer falls apart when installing, is very cheap...
The doorbell ringer falls apart when installing, is very cheap plastic, and doesn't ring after installed. I am very handy and had trouble getting this doorbell to work. Does not ring after installed. I would return, but not worth the effort for the price. Do not buy.

Bad product... Will not stay together!!!
I tried to install the door bell to replace my current broken one. The door bell button kept falling out and would not stay in place. The assembly was cheap thin plastic that is not strong enough to work as a door bell with a button that must be pushed. Every time you push the button it falls out and will not work. Needs to be re engineered. My old one was better so I just fixed it and returned this piece of junk.
