    Answer This Question

A:  Henry 336 is only used to seal approved substrates prior to installing self-stick flooring. Henry 554 "primer" may be used prior to Henry 555 self leveling underlayment. Call customer service if you have any questions, 800-232-4832.

    by|Mar 9, 2023

A:  Yes. Clean the concrete slab first then roll on a coat of primer and let it dry completely before pouring self leveling compound/cement.

Didn't have to use very much of the product, so won't know for a while how well it works. Was easy to use , odorless and dried in the time specified in the instructions.

              Try two coats, it works.
Used on concrete floor under Peel and stick flooring. Washed floor with TSP and put two thin coats of the Henry primer down. Tiles are sticking very well. This stuff does help.

              Plywood floor primer
Easy to use. I had removed old ceramic tile on my bathroom floor and, after grinding off the old grout residue, I needed to prime the plywood subfloor before leveling. Henry Bond Enhancer worked well.

This primer is very thin and spreads well soaking into subflooring perfectly! One coat does the trick - well worth the purchase! It initially looks like it will go on white, but applies clear and presents a clean look once spread and dried. After the floor dried (35 minutes using a box fan) I was able to apply vinyl "plank style" tiles and they adhered to the floor with an outstanding grip.

This product did not work I put brand new underlayment on the floor and applied three coats and then put on new peel and stick tile and it just would not adhere to the wood so then I took it back to Home Depot for a refund then I bought a can of 3M hi-strength contact adhesive and the tile is staying in place !!
