Product Details

Carpet Reducer/Baby Threshold is used for transitions between carpet and hard-surface flooring. The durable finish coordinates with our real wood flooring. Use with Heritage Mill Oak Golden 3/8 in. thick Click Floors, 1/2 in. Engineered Floors and 3/4 in. Solid Floors. This molding is proudly crafted in Johnson City, Tennessee from wood grown and responsibly harvested. Attach moldings to wood subfloors using countersunk nails and finish with putty. Adhere moldings to concrete subfloors using construction adhesive.

Q:What is the "rise" height? Two sections of floor, one is higher than the other, so what is the dimension of the "rise" of this piece?

Answer This Question

A:  The total thickness of the carpet reducer/baby threshold is 3/4" but the total drop from the surface of the floor covering is 3/8". This piece is made to transition to carpet or to vertical surfaces such as sliding door thresholds. If you are going from a higher floor to a lower floor, a hard surface reducer is preferred.

    A:  The molding is 2" in width total. The section that contacts the subfloor is .85" in width and the "overlay" that covers the hardwood side is 1.15" in width.
