Product Overview

This durable prefinished engineered click real oak floor is easy to install. Simply engage the long sides at an angle and press down. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. The stability of this construction provides superior strength, humidity resistance, and installation options (glue-less, floating or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Our company has been manufacturing wood floors to exacting standards in Johnson City, Tenn., for over 110 years.

I was used to working with tongue and groove engineered hardwood, as opposed to a click lock joint and shopped around a lot before I chose this product. We have other stores within 5 miles, but I ordered this from Home Depot and drove 90 miles to pick it up. It is hard to find tongue and groove engineered hardwood now, as much of the market has moved to this type instead. I was skeptical, but have been pleasantly surprised. There are many versions, but we chose a 5 ply engineered hardwood, instead of some products out there which are 3 ply, with the center just being compressed wood dust. This is a very good quality product. As far as installation, it is not just a simple click lock for beginners. We found it necessary to cut some small pieces to use a tapping blocks. On each board we would place at a 45 degree angle, press them down, and if it doesn't make a clear fit, we would use these blocks to tap them in securely. Make sure the tapping blocks, fit correctly into the joints, so as to not damage the plank. We chose to leave many baseboards on and will cover the ends with quarter round. The finish is great! It still has some texture, instead of a purely flat surface. The joints fit tight and smooth, instead of some others which have more a beveled joint. Overall, I would still like to work with tongue and groove but next to that, this is a very superior product that I would use again. This is a floor you can be proud of.

I used this product in my last house with great results. That was 15 years ago and it held up wonderfully. So when it came time to do flooring in my present home I came back to this product. Ordered on a Sunday, it was delivered on Thursday. Went down easily as I remembered. Very little waste. Would recommend to anyone.

After shopping all over, looking at all types of natural and synthetic flooring we decided to try this one for a remodel on a bedroom. I am SO glad we chose this one. This floor is absolutely beautiful! Even though we have no experience installing, it was easy. We watched a few video tutorials and had no problem. You should definitely buy the installation kit that has the spacers and block. I like this floor because it has the beauty and feel that only comes from real wood and unlike veneer type products this is real wood all the way through, made like plywood with sheets of wood vs sawdust filler base of the cheaper laminates. What this means is if you scratch or mar it you can just dab some Danish oil on and it vanishes. They say it can be refinished one time. We liked this floor so well that we decided to do a second room this year and just finished that one. Absolutely perfect, I can't say enough about this wonderful floor! The rich color and beautiful grain of the wood look sharp. It is well made, out of 14 cases we had only two with any warp and even those we were able to cut and use for edges. Made in USA as well. All I can say is if you find yourself having trouble installing or getting pieces to fit then it's a problem with technique because we found it was easy to work with and got a very tight fit between the joints. Finished each room in one afternoon.

Installed this for a client in place of a laminate floor that had been damaged by a dishwasher leak. I was a little concerned about how lightweight the material seemed. But we installed it over a premium underlayment/pad as recommended and it turned out beautifully. Not noisy like I was half expecting but a really nice floor. The clients love it!

The area preparation was challenging so I was extremely glad the floor went down so easily and quickly. It looks good and has held for several weeks. With more confidence I have decided to continue doing it myself moving on to the next area. Good instructions and although I had a few cutting areas, I had ordered the extra flooring as suggested, which came in useful.
