Hessaire's 6800CFM ducted aspen cooler cabinet is welded construction with solid 24gauge, galvanized G60 steel. The water pan is deep-drawn to prevent rust penetration. Hessaire offers 10-year cabinet rust warranty. Cooling is enhanced with thicker hand packed aspen pads. Hessaire aspen cooler is your economical and eco-friendly cooling solution that lasts. Evaporative Cooler is designed for economical cooling in dry/arid climates. With its low maintenance and simplicity of installation, it is an excellent choice for your home. The cabinets are made from 24-Gauge, G60 galvanized steel, with a one piece drawn water pan for rust protection and durability. I ordered online and picked up at a store. Acceptable but a few issues. #1: The pad frames were not as shown on the HD or Hessaire websites. My panels have no hand holds to grab them for removal. Mine just have the lip at the bottom which holds the frame in place - not a problem in the short term but I expect it will be with age (corrosion) and added scale weight in the pads. The two handholds were one reason I selected the Hessaire model. HD says I need to contact Hessaire on this. #2 : Pad retainers are very light duty but I think may be aluminum which would be a plus for corrosion resistance. #3: Installed the recommended Hessaire 3/4 HP motor - having overheating problems. Checked voltage which was ok and set the belt tension at a minimum. Not sure if the problem is solved.

Worked correctly for about 3 months
Had to replace bearings 3 months after installation. Also had to go up and unstick the pump because it stopped spinning. I'm sure it will need to be replaced soon too. Unit leaks. This cooler is on my 78 year old mother's house in the SoCal desert. She has to have it for cooling in the ENTIRE summer. What ever happened to quality products. 40+ years of installing coolers. Coolers used to last years and years!!!

I bought this unit on the recommendation of an HVAC...
I bought this unit on the recommendation of an HVAC tech. I had him install it. He was impressed that it came with all the extra parts/ accessories that he needed(except legs, that would be nice to include). After setting it up we turned on the water, through the switch, and it has kept my house wonderfully cool for a week now. It’s quiet and really moves a lot of air.
