The Hessaire 11,000 CFM Evaporative Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics and the performance exceeds coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. These coolers have 3-media panels instead of a single panel found on most mobile coolers. 3-panels allow more air-intake area and reduce pre-rotation of the air to the prop, which translates into lower static pressure and more efficient air delivery to the prop. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80% more evaporation surface compared to regular density media. This means higher evaporation efficiency and cooler temperatures. Note: This unit is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy and saves more on electricity costs. It is best used in dry climates or open spaces. Leave window/door open to limit the rise of humidity and keep better air ventilation in the room.

Q:Can I use this for a garage with no windows or vents?

A:Â I would open the people door or garage door an inch or 2 when it's in use.

A: Yes you can. HOWEVER, please understand that this is EVAPORATIVE COOLING not Air Conditioning. As such, the cooling works best when the local dew point is under 55° and there is at least one small vent to the outside. Completely enclosed without an exhaust point will severely diminish any cooling.

A:Â I don't see why not. In essence this is a fan that blows air through water covered filter type materiel. It does not produce any fumes or exhaust.

A:Â I do this all summer for the chickens when it's hotter than usual. It coosl the air a bit but the regular temp water naturally gets cold from the recirculating water/fan action.

An Excellent Purchase That Will Pay For Itself
We've been using this all summer and have nothing but praise for it. Like all evaporative coolers, it does not work well during humid weather so if that is your norm, this is NOT for you. When the air is dry it is miraculous and allows us to be cool with the AC set at 80*. It's easy to use, fill and roll around. It works great outside and you can attach a hose to a float controlled valve. This is well designed and constructed. It will run for about 8hrs on one tank of water but does not shut off automatically when the tank runs dry. Prolonged use without water will damage the pump but I've had good luck with this type of pump (submersible water feature type) tolerating occasional misuse. Spare parts are reasonably priced at HD.

Wow! This works great!
Bought this for our garage, but right now I have in our t.v. room that doesn't seem to get cooled down like the rest of the house when the air is on. Good thing this has wheels, because I can see it will be moving around to multiple rooms.

We love it
Texas heat has exceeded 108 which makes outdoor by the pool miserable. We bought this and it works wonders. I think it’s better used outdoors IMO. We want to by another and have recommended it to family and friends. It’s also really lightweight (when empty). We bring it in the road to the cabins as well!

Much better than the average "fan"
We live along the Coast of MS where humidity and heat go hand in hand. My wife likes to sit on back porch and smoke. In this heat she was always miserable until I purchased this "cooler". After reading the reviews I figured we'd give it a shot, humidity and all. The ticket to using this thing along the Coast is to keep ice in the container. We own 2 different freezers and it is so easy to fill ice trays and just keep replenishing the ice. It melts to a cool water which makes all the difference in the world as to the cooling of the unit. She is a happy camper.

great!
if you're complaining about the humidity you probably did not do research on these at all. of course it increases humidity its literally using water to cool the air down. Anyway, I live in the Southern California Desert and this works amazing. You can hook it up to a hose or just add water yourself every so often. I left in on for 6 hours last night and it's not emptied yet. The fan setting is also highly effective. I do absolutely reccomend this product.

This evaporative cooler is light but makes loud air noise, no assembly needed, only need to push the wheels in its designated slot, add about 2 gallons of water into the tank, plug the cord to an outlet, and turn on power to have cool air. I've only been able to use it in an 80° or less temperatures and it circulates cool air around my 250 sq ft studio. Not sure if it'll work the same in a 90°+ weather in Pacific northwest.

Portable Sauna. Does not cool!
This is a hunk of junk.
This is not worth it.
This does NOT cool down a room, it merely turns the room..or entire house..into an indoor sauna.
If you LOVE humidity...that's what you are getting.

11,000cfm cooler
Purchased the 11,000 cfm hessaire for my shop. I wish it was a bit more heavy duty than it appears, but so far so good. It’s 106 here today, I put the outside thermometer in front of the cooler. I did a video to show it went from 106 to 72 in seconds. Love this thing so far!

Cools - but a Pain
The opening to pour water is dumb. It’s small and hard to open. You either have to funnel 5 gallons of water in the thing or make a mess. Adding ice is doable in small amounts at a time. Again - opening the spout is a small tab you can barely grab onto.
It does cool. It does blow cold air. It does it’s advertised job. Just a poor design and ugly colors.
