still a very slight drip into the outdoor cooler; but certainly much better than the old one which lasted only 2 years. We'll see if this one lasts any longer.

Needs TWO washers, both adapters slowly drip
If you don’t tighten to the hose, this adapter slowly drips. (I tried two, same problem). If you over-tighten, the washer slips and gets pushed between the 1” and 3/4” connection and completely fails (sprays everywhere). Do yourself a favor: buy a pack of standard hose washers and put a SECOND washer on the hose/union side (not the Hessaire evap cooler connection). It’ll still have room for a few thread turns on the hose and you can tighten with less chance of the washer getting squeezed between the two connected brass parts.
