No, our heaters and fire pits do not come with propane tanks.
How long does this heat?
This heater will heat for 2-3 hours on the high setting.
Can a propane adapter with regulator be used
Is there a safety feature if the flame goes out?
These heaters have an anti-tilt safety device that will extinguish the flame if the unit is tipped or knocked over.
Pilot comes on. Hold the button in until the monitor stick is beat red, let go, pilot goes out. Will not light...I put tape on the dial in pilot mode (so I wouldn't have to stand there and hold it) let it sit for 10 mins. Release the dial, pilot went out.
This will be caused by your tilt switch being "activated". Once the tilt switch is "activated" it will not allow the burner to light. This is a safety feature. At some point, the heater was either tilted, moved, bumped, etc. while running, activating the tilt switch.

These units utilize a 1 pound propane tank that does not get refilled. However, you can purchase an adapter to connect to a larger 20 pound tank. The 20 pound tanks can usually be filled at gas stations.
