What size wind guard works with this fire pit?
We purchased a round wind guard that is 23" in diameter and 6" high. If you live in a windy area, guards are must haves!
Is it safe to sit this fire pit over outdoor carpet or plastic-wood decking material (such as TREX)? Does it get hot under the unit?
It does not get hot underneath. You may have embers fall, a fire pit rug would provide additional protection.
Is this model on display anywhere in No. Calif or around the Sacramento area?
Not that I am aware of...several vendors carry it (price is more) but it was worth the wait...and is everything we hoped for.
Do I need to get on my hands and knees to turn on the igniter? Is it easy to access?
If you can sit in a chair, bend over to pet a small dog, you can light this without getting on your hands and knees. However, to replace the propane tank, you probably will be on your knees.
Yes you have to bend to start it. But I love it. Have had it outside on deck for 4 years and works great. Pretty too

I don't know the exact dimensions but it was too big for our Toyota Tacoma - we had to rent a trailer to pick it up.

Unfortunately not. Assembly is required
The directions say that it should take around 60 minutes to assemble. I’ve been working on mine for 7 hours and am still not done. The directions are awful. Customer service is not much better.
