This was exactly what I needed. I am in the process of unpacking into my new apartment and needed a Christmas Tree option that was light weight for ease of moving around. I twisted this wire into a cone shape (or Christmas tree) and hung light s one it. The kids loved it! AND, no pine needles to deal with.

I recently needed to buy some floral wire. In the past, floral wire has come on a wooden spool with no plastic packaging. I was surprised when I could only find it in plastic/paperboard packaging. I bought a package and attempted to unspool it as described on the back of the package. The spool was tangled inside the package and after many failed attempts to get the spool started again, I resorted to cutting the package open. Even this was incredibly difficult. Really? Companies now have to put wire in incredibly wasteful plastic packaging that when it fails, is a nightmare to cut open. I am sure this extraordinarily wasteful and frustrating packaging was the brilliant mind of some MBA who thought it would make it easier for stores to display the wire. It is also very clear that there is much less wire in the packaging than was on the original spool. A simple solution that would have prevented both the wasteful packaging and the frustration of getting the wire out, would have been to add a simple wire loop to the top of the original wooden spool. Then it could be conveniently hung, but would not anger your customer base. I hope someone at Home Depot will consider finding a supplier who does not put wire in wasteful packaging.

The wire was tangled after a couple of turns. I had to cut open the entire package to salvage the wire.
