We needed to put up shade tarps and the wind blows so hard here in Arizona, that these springs were the perfect answer. Tarps just blow with the wind instead of fighting it, which would tear the grommets out. Works great!

USPS Mail Carrier Ignored "Please Close Gate" Sign
I purchased the #7 Door and Gate Spring in Zinc-Plated because I had problems with the USPS mail carriers leaving my gate opened. It appears none of them could read my clearly printed sign, " Please Close Gate". I was constantly annoyed by receiving other people's mail as well as my front gate being left open. I had to find a way to resolve this issue because it was really annoying. This gate spring did the trick and it was extremely easy to install. At least part of my problem has been resolved, if they could only read well enough to deliver the mail to the correct address.
