I have a stainless steel laundry sink I am about to install, which has accommodation for a wall mount faucet. As the name implies, a wall mount faucet expects to be mounted directly on the wall & the two inlet pipes would actually hold the faucet tight to the wall. I my case, I need to mount the faucet on the vertical portion above the sink. This requires some method of attaching the faucet to the two mounting holes. I used a 1/2" close brass nipple & a MIP to FIP street elbow. This gives me a way to attach the faucet to the water supply, but the street elbow is too small for the mounting hole. The 7/8 stainless steel washers provide exactly what I need to hold everything in place. The fact that this is 18-8 stainless hardware gives me more confidence that the electrolytic reaction between the stainless & the brass will be minimal. I'm hoping in my lifetime it won't be a problem.

Expected the washers to be for 1/2 “ screws.,not to have holes big enough for a 1/2”to go through it. If you’re new to DIY and screws the description is confusing.
