100-Light Red Mini Incandescent Light Set

Good product, great price!

Thinking of mini lights you might wonder, "How do the LED and non-LED mini lights compare?" See photo I took instore Home Depot Nov 2018, the LEDs are *way* brighter. was willing to give the cheaper $2.50 non-LEDs a chance but after demoing at the store, I really didn't care for the lower brightness of them, and am happy in the end we went with the LEDs for our install. Are the LED worth the price jump? ($9 vs $2.50?) In my opinion yes. Notably: **LED CAN CONNECT 30 STRANDS, these incandescent mini can only hook up 5 strands together** It easier to configure in yard without paying for multiple power extension cables if you can do 30 vs 5 connected together. Home Depot's LEDs are cheaper than competitor strands online, though still pricey if you are buying a lot of them, and are nicer than our LED from a few years ago. No heat compared to incandescent equivalent (these non-LED minis were hot as 1 strand even in the store when I did my photo, you could feel the heat radiating!!) and LED much brighter with lower power usage. LED POWER SAVINGS: depends on a few variables but for us: 20 strands for 40 days @ 6hr per day @ $0.09 per kWh = $14.50 per year in power savings, so with the upfront cost difference that is a 7 year payback on going LEDs instead of non LED. If your power is more costly, payback is sooner! (5 year payback at $0.12/kWh). C9 bulbs are really where the near term power savings are going LED, but minis still matter to a smaller degree.

Bought multiple sets. The blue color is great. I would definitely buy more. Only complaint is that in one box only half the string worked.

Purchased lights for the 2016 holiday season to create blue holiday themed decor. To make 3'candles I dded PVC plumbing, light sockets. Made a great display not available anywhere ! I lit the pictured wreath and roping at the rate of 100 lights per foot.

I'd already shopped several brick-and-mortar stores for mini light sets (specifically green). I have never ordered from Home Depot online (for delivery at my local store for pickup), but gave this a try, since the cost was $.20 per set cheaper than any other I had found. They arrived quickly, picking them up was a snap (especially since they were prepaid) - and they were exactly what I expected. They're on display on a saguaro cactus in my front yard - in plenty of time for Christmas. I'll be ordering online from Home Depot in the future whenever I can save both time and money.

Great value for the price - @ $2.50 a box these were the best bang for my buck. The bushes look great - always try to find blue lights and I found them early this year and got them before they sold out.. Bought a few extra boxes just in case a string goes out, but none have, under snow, ice and rain - they are all staying lit.

I was pleased with the bright light and rich color. These lights are similar to most in their packaging and ease of use. They are quite substantial and will be used again next year. Good value for price.
