Inspect before buying
Paint has already came off immediately after leaving store. Had someone pick up the nutcracker for me after ordering online and the paint stuck to the hold sticker that the store put on. Hand holding staff is loose and afraid it will fall off. Due to distance from any Home Depot and Covid pandemic, unable to return.
The cover to the battery compartment does not fit flush to the back either.

I bought two of these nutcrackers in different colors. They are adorable and very well made. They have a weighted base and a timer. I originally bought these to go on my front porch, but they are so cute that I have to keep them inside and I decided to put them on each side of my fireplace. If these are not sold out I suggest buying them.

Beautiful but poor quality
Before I got it home the paint had chipped in places wanted for my porch. Battery lid does not properly seal so moisture gets into battery area. Overall a poor quality nut cracker.

He didn't work with the batteries,took him back.Saw they had another one went and got it ,but was same one I took back. Got the stacking box one but isn't working right either.The only goid one was the toy soldier one ,he works fine.
