This is a nice cushion. I like the color as it fits with the color of my chairs. The cushion is very comfortable to sit in and holds up to hours of lounging. The cushion held up to a little rain the other day as well. The water seemed to bead up and not soak in. The ties are strong and do a good job of keeping the cushion in place. I will be sure to put this inside over the winter and because of that, it should last several years.

The Sunbrella Canvas Outdoor Cushion in Slate is a great addition to our outdoor patio set. It is comfortable to sit on, with just the right firmness to be supportive, yet is still soft to sit on. There are two ties near the top, and two near the bottom to attach it securely to a chair. It fits our Hampton Bay wicker-look chair perfectly, and looks like it was made for it. We'll see how the fabric holds up in our desert Southwest sun and heat, but it looks and feels durable without being scratchy. I really like the slate color, too; it's trendy and neutral to coordinate with a variety of color schemes.

How do I say this....Looks okay, to me it looks a bit home-made. but it is a functional high back dinning chair cushion for outdoor furniture set. It is waterproof that it can have water bead on it. See pics.
It is one piece that is sewn into three sections. The challenge with this is that it is easy to see if there is even a slight misalignment of the sections. It is a visual effect with cushions made this way. I think it is why I felt it looked a bit home-made.
Also there was areas of loose strands that should of been cut or removed during quality control. Had several loose strands around the cushion. For the price, I would expect not to see these loose strands. See pics.
One thing is that this outdoor cushion doesn't have is the side piping, which is good for hiding the sewing edges. Here you can see the sewn edging on the side.
This cushion is made in the USA with imported materials. It has good thickness of the cushion material, thought it felt bumping to the touch if you move your hand across it. Otherwise it was comfortable to sit on.
Time will tell on how it handles sunlight during the summer, if it will fade noticeably.

High end look with comfortable feel. Ordered this to replace our patio dining cushions. We originally only had seat cushions but figured we could try this out. We are very happy with the look and feel of the cushion. It fits perfectly on our patio dinning chairs. The fabric is soft but durable. We have already cleaned up a few spills on them with no problem. The ties are very strong and easy to tie onto the chairs because of the length of them, making it easy for anyone to tie them without difficulty.
The stitching these is perfect and should hold up to the rigors of our teens and their friends. These should last for years to come.

I have tried out this Sunbrella Cast Shale High Back Outdoor Dining Chair Cushion in hopes of installing them on all of my outdoor chairs. I do like the style of the cushions and they feel very comfortable to sit on the thick polyester filling. The outer fabric feels strong and has UV protection to help prevent fading from the sun. The four string ties hold the cushion securely to the aluminum chair and do a good job of preventing them from moving around. The cushion is 21.5 inches wide and 24 inches tall which fits my chair perfectly. The cushions come with a one year cushion warranty and a five year fabric warranty.

This is a very comfortable cushion. Although it is called an outdoor dining chair cushion, we are using it on our wooden rocker. It fits very well. This cushion has a lot of padding, but would be better if it was slightly firmer in the seat part of the cushion. When you sit on this cushion, it seems to wrap around you in comfort. This product will transform most any of your outdoor furniture. I recommend this cushion for looks and comfort. It is made of good quality material.

When I got a chance to check out a Sunbrella cast shale outdoor chair cushion the first thing I noticed was – the price. I had just taken delivery of three other cushions and they were each well less than half of the cost of the Sunbrella.
The Sunbrella is marketed as a “high end fabric” cushion and, after comparing it to the lower cost units side by side, I’m willing to concede that the Sunbrella stands apart. All of the cushions I checked out were new, so wear didn’t figure into the results.
The Sunbrella brand outdoor fabric is a “solution dyed” acrylic. Solution dyed means that the fibers of the fabric are dyed before they are woven, not printed on after the fabric is made. (I had to go look that up – I’m not exactly an expert on fabrics or weaving).
The cushion offers more padding (or, at least, padding that doesn’t sink quite so quickly or quite so far) than the other cushions I tried. To be fair, I’m at 200+ pounds – lighter folks might not notice the difference as quickly as I did.
Our patio chairs have nylon (I think they’re nylon, anyway) stretched slats; a solid surface chair might give a different “feel” to the cushions.
Fit and finish is top notch, and the manufacturer offers a 1-year warranty on the entire cushion, and a 5-year warranty on the fabric. Of course, Home Depot offers their standard 90-day return policy.
Clean up is advertised as being easy with mild soap and water; I haven’t spilled BBQ sauce on the new cushion (yet) but it does seem to wipe down O.K.
Of course, there are ties to hold the cushion into the chair, and it’s a one-piece cushion so storing in our deck box is easy.
Comfort-wise (which is very subject and YMMV) it’s the best cushion we currently have, very nice to sit on while listening to a ball game on the patio.
The big question – is it worth the premium price? Well - assuming that the budget allows – I think it is. The warranty is good, the fit and finish excellent, and the comfort level is higher than we’ve found on our lesser priced cushions.

I would recommend this cushion but I am not sure you would want to pay the price they are asking. Holy smokes. That aside it is a very nice cushion with thick foam and is very comfortable. It fits great in my folding patio chair and it is almost the same color as the chair but it accents it well. I wanted to get this one to try it out to make sure I like it and it works and I don't think it is worth the cost.

Super soft yet super firm...these Sunbrella Cast Mist High Back Outdoor Dining Chair Cushions are very good-looking and also extremely comfortable. One of the best things about them is, you can mix and match for a more laid-back look because many of the colors look great together.
These cushions are thick. My wife commented that she feels like she is sitting a lot higher now with these new cushions. They also have tie-downs to keep them in place. The fabric is clearly very high-end and all of the seams are expertly sewn. The Sunbrella Cushion Co. has many size, shape, and color options to choose from.
We are very glad that we got these new cushions. Our old ones were starting to fade and the stuffing had flattened out a bit and it was time. Now we feel very regal sitting tall in our patio furniture.
