Do not put anything on it
I was in a pinch and ran to Home Depot for a cheap solution to a needed bookcase. I followed the instructions precisely and used the 6 provided wall anchors in addition to driving a screw into a stud. The bracket went up with no problem (I recommend drawing your drill marks using the bracket itself, the provided template was off a bit so not all screw holes lined up, but there are plenty of pre-drilled holes to choose from on the bracket.) I slide the shelf onto the two prongs and screwed in the fasteners for each. The finished product was level and square to the wall. The shelf claims to hold 15 pounds. After putting 13 pounds of baby's book the very next day I find the shelf slanted down (pictured). A 1/4 gap developed between the shelf and the wall (pictured).

Great value!
We have a tiny guest bathroom that needed some extra surface to supplement the sink cabinet and this worked out PERFECTLY! This was super easy to install. We did use heavier duty wall anchors since it did miss the stud on one side. All in all very happy with this little shelf. Wish it came in white because I have other places this could be useful.

Overcompensated for the sag
I saw a lot of reviews talking about sagging forward, and I just bought 4 shelves and they are all way too over-corrected. As you can see in the picture it now tilts back substantially. I'm going to leave this one up for a day or two and see if it corrects and starts to level out with some weight on it, and if not all 4 will be going back. All 4 brackets are equally sloped up so clearly this is a manufacturing decision and not a 1 off issue.

This shelf has a back plate that mounts to the wall using drywall anchors and 2 3/8" wood screws (the threads don't go all the way up the shaft of the screw). Once you have the back plate attached to the wall, the screws do not firmly hold the back plate since there are no threads near the head of the screw to grip the drywall anchor. Also, the screw holes in the back plate are almost as big as the screw heads, so there is not much holding the back plate up. I am going to take the shelf down and get some better quality wall anchors and screws. Hopefully I can reuse the existing anchor holes.

I almost returned this due to a large number of reviews about sag. Ultimately after not finding many other options I decided to take the chance with the thought that if it had bad sag, I'd add a corner bracket and just deal with the aesthetics of that. I didn't end up needing to do that, but the shelf is not perfect either.
I did not use the enclosed brackets, they seemed cheap and weird. I used drywall anchor bolts, the blue ones from the variety packs sold at HD. After installing the bracket I did confirm it was level. It almost seems like the manufacturer over compensated for the sag, because while the shelf "appears" mostly level, it is actually slightly unlevel with an upward incline. I certainly prefer this over sag as sag would bother the (heck) out of me. There's no noticable gap between the wall.
Oh, and there is a white scratch on the front which is unfortunate but fixable. What's not fixable is a scuff, also on the front, which is unfortunately noticeable due to the gloss.
It's a nice looking shelf for the price. If you decide to take a chance on it, I'd suggest using your own anchor bolts, making sure things are level as you go, and maybe most importantly - open it while you're in the parking lot to check the condition, so you can exchange if it has cosmetics issues like mine does.
I wish I'd gotten a larger size, and I'm hoping the bracket is the same for all of them, maybe I can just add a larger size to replace this one, using the existing bracket.
