Saw this asked earlier w/o a response.. What is the under table clearance? The arms on my chairs are 27” and I want to make sure they will fit.

Or what is the width of the table top? That would be helpful to know as well.

From the floor to the bottom of the table top is 29 inches. But, keep in mind that there is an apron 6 inches in that is 24 inches high. So, basically you've got 6 inches to push in your chair before the arms of the chair will bump up against the apron. Width of the table top is 42 inches

You can feel the grain of the wood in the top, it is not smooth, but not rough either. The color is exactly what is pictured - I like to call it Greige (grey and beige in one).

It has a taupe and grey tone to it. Also like many others have said the coating on the top of the table does look a little like plastic; however, it does make it very stain and heat resistant. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the top of my table had some small scratches on it and because it is so heavy I didn't want to haul it back to the store and reorder.

It is heavy duty and made with good quality. I will warn that it is HEAVY and you will need at least 3 people to bring it inside if you are not home when delivered. My husband and I did this on our own and I would not recommend trying to lift with just two people. I am also impressed with the shipping as we ordered it prior to Thanksgiving thinking it would not arrive until afterwards based on expected delivery date, but to our surprise, it was delivered a day early and we were able to enjoy it for Thanksgiving. Not only did the table exceed our expectations, the customer service on the phone when placing the order and the delivery time also exceeded our expectations. Likes: heavy duty, good quality, easy to assemble, exactly what is pictured. Dislikes: How heavy it is (but this is not necessarily bad) and when the leaf is out the grain of the wood does not match.

Looks just like the pictures which is great because buying something like this online is hard you never know how it will look. Just put together and quality is great and strong. It really is a gorgeous piece of furniture. My only complaints for this that made me not give 5 stars is 1. the shipping company they used to ship it. Seko logistics was carrier and 2 times they changed the delivery date when i called to track. When it finally showed up we weren't home because we had planned on being home the last 2 dates of delivery. So they dumped a pallet on my driveway. Very large very heavy boxes and it was about to rain. Thankfully we were able to round up neighbors to help bring in garage. 2. complaint like some others stated the texture of table and buffet is rough. I dont mind it because it gives it a rustic authentic feel and not like the plastic veneer other pieces ive looked at had. I think i will need to put some type of sealant on it. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Table! I had looked for a long time for a solid wood trestle table when I finally found the Aldridge. I took a chance and purchased it, and I am so glad I did. Similar tables I saw are double the price of this table and are generally nowhere near the same quality. This is a sturdy, heavy, solid wood table. You will definitely need two strong people to put it together. The "plastic" looking top that people mention is a wax protective coating that is meant to protect the table, and does not make the table look "fake" at all. A solid wood table (with no veneers), by necessity, must have a protective layer to guard against stains and other potential damage to the wood. I've had it for about two months now and have had no issues with staining. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend the Aldridge!

This table does have hints of brown in it so just keep that in mind when purchasing. I even purchased the matching bench. The table is really, really heavy! We had hard time bringing it inside (I am not the strongest person lol). Overall, I am in love with this set!

I also love that the leaf lives under the table top when you need to expand it. That being said. This table is incredibly heavy and most people will need three to four people to move the package.

We wanted hard wood, no grooves in the table top, extendable, a chunky base, matching bench and the right color and this table has it all. We LOVE it and are so happy with it!
