Dumb question, I know, but... really want to install this myself, only thing holding me back is... I'll need to cut this, right? With a table saw or something similar? No experience with that...
Asked by: Sara
Yes, you need a table saw or circular saw to cut the plank at the end of each row. I've done lots of laminate installation, and the cutting is not an issue, as the cut edge will always be underneath the edge molding. More difficult is cutting a slot around door jambs in order to slip the laminate under the door jamb for a tidy look. That's difficult without a special type of saw.

is this product LVP ? Waterproof? Tom
Asked by: Smogman
I have used it in my bathroom without any serious or even minor issues since installation, but we our careful with taking showers, or baths. We also do not have any children in the house, but were not clean freaks either, just a married couple on a budget and saw this Laminated Flooring. Many people have installed it themselves and in bathrooms, most Laminated Flooring if average or above quality can take some water. However it must be cleaned up within a twenty-four hour limit, after that, its questionable, we do use a regular towel type rug on the floor for standing when getting out of the shower, or bath. We love this floor and did install it ourselves, think positive. Good luck.

Is this product waterproof and appropriate for basement installation over a concrete subfloor?

Asked by: Nate
Hello Nate, this product is not water resistant, however if you install a 6 mil poly moisture barrier first, seal the seams, and install up the wall by at least 1 inch. You would then install the laminate underlayment and then the flooring even in a basement.

I would like purchase this flooring and store it until it’s ready to be installed. Can I store in my shop (not climate controlled)? Thanks.
Asked by: AngieC
Yes, as long as the concrete or wood floor in the shop is flat. Before installation, least one week before, bring it into your house and lay it flat to normalize to the humidity and temperature levels in the house.

Ann Arbor Oak 8 mm Thick x 6-1/8 in. Wide x 47-5/8 in. Length Laminate Flooring (20.32 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 288.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the look but it’s a pain. I put in this floor 2 years ago. It still looks nice but the joints connecting planks do not stay locked together. I can come home on any given day and find two or more plank that I need to take my foot and stomp it into each other and lock back in place. We left recommended clearance for expansion. I wish I would have made less clearance or that planks could be glued. Maybe floating floor wasn’t a good option for my family.

Although this looks good, it is the absolute worst product, regardless of the color. Putting the first row down is a walk in the park. From there on it is a nightmare. "Use the block to knock the second piece into place with the interlocking edge". I don't think so. I've put down hundreds, if not thousands, of square feet of hardwood, laminate, and engineered flooring products. I've never had one that simply refused to go together. I actually ruined the first box trying to get it to work per instructions. The only possible way for it to work is to fully assemble the second row and all subsequent rows and install them one row at at time as one piece into the previous row. If you have little or no experience with installing your own, stay far away from this product. And as for assistance? They know how to read the instructions that come with the product...and they are of no value whatsoever. So sorry to have wasted all that time and the money on the one box I won't be able to return.

Some of the pieces wouldnt connect since the edges kind if separated (the pieces that connect together). I have to swiffer every other day to keep it looking clean. The dust shows easily but we also have three pets. I've had it for a few weeks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed so far!!!!! I’m approximately 40 percent done with the installation and so far, I’m not only impressed with look but the easy install as well. From an integrity perspective, we’ll have to wait and see how it holds up againt 3 boys and 2 adults over the course of time.
