Q:I've lost the remote, and after 6 months the fan started rotating clockwise instead. terrible for a hot climate. I'm assuming there might be some power on / off sequence that makes it switch directions?

Loving it so far!
Just got done installing it and it came out great. It was my first time installing a ceiling fan, it wasn't too difficult. The fan is super quiet, moves a good amount of air, and the lamp is SUPER bright. Overall, I'm happy with this fan.

This a ceiling fan that meets all expections
1-easy to assemble
2-easy to plug into the electricity
3-if you expect to play with wires and don’t have clue how to install it This unit will all guessing out of it.
If you don’t have any experience have an electrician install it for you, is about 300 bucks more! So use your brain and give it a try follow the instructions.

Mind of its own
This looks perfect and is quiet and bright but the fan itself decides when it’s on! Deep in my peaceful sleep I’m ripped awake by the bright light and wizzing fan blades. Doesn’t matter what I do (battery out of remote, fan on different speeds) it turns on all by itself. Le sigh. I really wanted this thing to work but I’ll be returning.

Lag when using wall switch
This fan looks good and quietly moves a lot of air. It’s gives plenty of light, especially right under it.
The main issue is that there is a 2-second lag for the light to come on when using the wall switch, which is a long time in that context. There is no lag when using the remote, but I’m not interested in using the remote like a wall switch (and damaging the wall).
The remote feels cheap and doesn’t seem durable, but it’s necessary for the fan’s operation.
I would not purchase again.

Poorly designed and manufactured
Easy to install, but hardware does not allow for installation flush to ceiling, so there is a gap between the housing and the ceiling, even though the box is installed properly in the ceiling. Described as matte black, but blades are wood color with no option to reverse them. Having only a remote as an option to turn the fan and light on is ridiculous. Also, as others have pointed out, the light and fan turn on randomly. Spend the extra money and get a product from a real ceiling fan company.

Fan Malfunctions
This fan looks really nice. However, I constantly have to deal with the light & fan cutting itself on (Fan on High setting).. I’ve noticed it doesn’t happen if I keep the fan on low setting but it’s winter who wants the fan on 24/7..

Need Help
I've had this in my beach house for 5 months and the blades are falling apart. the edges have swelled and now the fan is warbling. Love the looks of this fan just can't believe how quickly it's deteriorating for an inside application.

Great Value
the fan seems pretty solid and comparable in look and feel to $500 ceiling fans sold at the designer home stores. Obviously, it's not the same quality, but it more than fine for my new house. The instructions were clear, and I think it can be easily installed by one person with a few basic tools + a ladder. The materials seem well engineered - I expect it to last for many years. BONUS: lifetime warranty on the fan motor! GREAT value! I will probably buy 3 more for the bedrooms.

Great fan for price
Bought three of them, they are quiet an push a lot of air. My BB only negative feedback is the LED light has a bit of strobe effect when on.
