Burton 56 in. Ivory Standard Rectangle Wood Console Table with Drawers

I’m very happy with this product. It is sturdy, solid, utile as well as beautiful... just what I needed for my small guest house kitchen. It was easy to assemble but tedious. I put it together by myself but it would have been easier with one other person because it is bulky... but I managed alone and I’m 72 years old! If I can do it... so can you. It was well worth the price and the energy to put it together. It was actually fun.

This was an easy build, taking about an hour. Large piece that makes a statement for the price. A slightly creamy white color. Heavy piece that comes in two boxes.

Nice Console - a few hit or miss quality items This console is a decent piece of furniture. You need to have some advanced Ikea-like constructions skills for assembly. The product was delivered in two big boxes, the larger one weighs nearly 80 lbs! The parts are well packed in the box... almost too well packed, there is a LOT of styrofoam to be thrown away at the end of assembly. The assembly instructions were very good. It has words unlike most Ikea manuals! The step by step was very easy to follow and all the parts were clearly labeled and the hardware was individually bagged. I was taking my time building this console and it took me just over two hours from opening the box to finishing. Some of the steps would be easier with someone to help. The console is made from a mixture of particle board and real wood. One area where Ikea hardware is better is in the adjustment... there wasn't much you can do to adjust the door or drawer gaps to even them out. We're going to use this in our master bedroom under the TV. The depth of the console makes it a good fit and it is proportioned well. The first night the console smelled a bit as it was adjusting to its new home. I probably should have left it in the garage fully assembled for a day to let the smell dissipate.

So, sadly this piece looks so nice in the picture but was problematic to put together. I hope that it is just that we got a difficult one. Got the body together fairly easily, then came the drawers. They go together easily (although super low quality particle board) and not solid,-loose no matter how snug you try to get them. Then once together we put our own nice hardware on to match our kitchen cabinets. We attempted to put the 2 drawers in their slide brackets-first one was just fine, second bottom drawer would not go in at all. It ended up cracking as we tried to get it out of the brackets-super cheap quality. We have a similar drawer mechanism throughout our home, so very aware of how to use these. We think the cabinet wall where the drawer goes is a bit too narrow on this unit and hence can never fit the bottom drawer. This drawer would only latch on one or the other side, but never the two at the same time, then got stuck-we tried for over 40 minutes to put the bottom drawer in until it broke. We removed the metal drawer brackets and found a basket to fill this spot. Looks nice but, very low quality, will not be something you want to move around as it will fall apart. It can look good from a distance decorated properly, but if you want a nice long term piece of quality furniture, this is not for you. I was so excited to order this, but was fairly disappointed. If you like the looks enough perhaps you will get one that goes together better than ours did. We are very much high level DIY'ers and very mechanically inclined, so I did not expect to have such a hassle with this piece. So, if you love the look of this, give it a try, but know that although it is pretty, it is not a very good quality-no wood at all-just particle board.

At first I was please with the sturdiness of this desk, but after only a week of regular use, the doors are dinged and the cabinet door is scratched. I have never had a piece of furniture able to be damaged so easily--I'm honestly not even sure what caused the damage. All we did was open and close the doors and cabinets. This table will probably look like crap after just a year. It is cheaply made and the price is too high for it to be essentially disposable.

A nice piece of furniture for the money.

Such a beautiful piece of furniture. The color is really rich and provides a fantastic color pop in my entry hall. Very sturdy and substantial.

This product is not worth what I paid, even after the sale. Many of parts of this are flimsy. It was also a hassle to assemble and the pieces do not align or fit together nicely.
