With 2 fans in a room, can the remotes work independently of each other?

I need one remote to operate one fan and the other remote to operate the other fan. One fan might miss a signal and then trying to get them back in sync could be a problem if 1 remote operates 2 fans.

Yes, you can manually program the fan and remote codes (similar to a garage door system with up and down switches).

Can we shorten downrod?

We have low ceilings but really want a fan. Is there a way to make this even more snug to the ceiling, perhaps by shortening the downrod?

You could cut and drill the downrod on the fan side. The ceiling side has a molded ball that sits in the top assembly - I wouldn't mess with that.

I have 3 of these fans. When I use remote, 2 lights come on. When I push light again, two go off and one comes on. ???

How do I get all on and work from switch?

The "hand held" remote control and the "canopy mounted" receiver are "paired" by way of matching switch settings. You should be able to change the "non responsive" fan receiver setting to match your remote. That way all three would be "paired" with the remote you are using.

The box says the light is fully dimmable. How is dimming achieved?

Kc, If you have the hand held remote in your hand. You will see what appears to a be a light bulb symbol at the 6 position. You need to press and hold that symbol till you get the desired amount of light out that is desired. The longer the button is held will determine the intensity of the light. Thanks Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by GetERDone from Bring On the summer The last ceiling fan we installed just did not have the air flow we needed for the master bedroom, this fan brought all we needed and then some. This fan was easy to wire up, matching the previous brackets easily and going right into place. The piece by piece installation was a bit of a hassle, as every part of the fan needed to be put together from the motor base casing to the light installation on the motor to the remote option. The directions were easy to follow but some screws I would recommend a small right angle Phillips to access as there is not a lot of hand space. The LED light is bright and lights the entire room up easily. The remote is a bit bulkier than the last remote but allows it to be easily found if missed placed around the room and the holder for the remote is easily installed with screws or 3M tabs, (purchased separately, as I refuse to drill into my furniture for it.) The 3 speed setting is nice and it is reversible to use during the colder months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FamofLove from Love this fan! I was really nervous about the installation of this fan due to the negative reviews concerning the receiver. We had no issue with installing the receiver. Just be mindful to read all of the instructions and pay attention to the diagrams/pictures. There is a small picture that shows you how to slip the receiver box into the canopy. It only fits one way. It took my husband 45 minutes to an hour to install this beauty in our 13.5 x 15.3 room, but he takes his time with all projects. The remote control seemed cheap at first but it works really well with dimming and going through the three speeds for the fan. For us, the low speed is enough. Also keep in mind the reverse function is actually located on the side of the fan, which is fine for us since we live in Texas. We love the look and function of this fan and would definitely recommend this product. I wish they had this fan in different sizes so I could put in all of our kids bedrooms as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JH from This fan is junk I have installed many ceiling fans over the years. this one is without a doubt the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased.. The initial installation was difficult trying to stuff all the wires for the remote control into the electric box in the ceiling. After installation the fan worked fine for a week. It just stopped working, no light, no fan. Disassembled to check the wiring and everything was correct. Reassembled and everything worked. One day later it stopped working again. Disassembled again and found nothing wrong. Again, after reassembly everything worked fine for another day. After the third time disassembling and reassembling this fan and finding nothing wrong I did some research on the internet. It seems this remote control receiver likes to shut itself off and needs to be reset. Great fan. Use it for a day, then have to shut off the power for at least a half an hour to reset the receiver. What junk! Needless to say this fan is coming down and being replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cutworm from Great Ceiling Fan Overall, very nice ceiling fan. Sleek, modern design with two colors of blades that compliment any room. Fan runs very smoothly, quietly and can quickly cool a large area with three operating speeds. The LED bulbs provide bright and very good lighting. The downfall is that the LED bulbs are all connected in a circular piece and if they ever need replacement, the entire part will need to be replaced. Fan is controlled by an easy to use remote that comes with a holder to be mounted to the wall to store the remote. The fan can be turned on and off with the switch, however all changes to the fan must be made with the remote. Nice feature to have when already laying in bed! The installation was more difficult than most fans because of a large remote box that needed to be installed. Overall, not too tough to install. A great choice for a medium to large room.

The first one we received I'm pretty sure some else had already tried to install it. The down rod that comes with it could not be screwed into the fan straight. I tried multiple times. I even decided to just install it hoping you wouldn't be able to see the crooked rod. But it was very noticeable. But then one of the brackets that is connected to the fan blade was missing. So I bought another one. This one went together very easy and all the parts were there. But it wobbled like mad on high. Medium was okay high shook like crazy. I tried and tried to fix it but to no avail. I'll work on it later. But I love the looks of this fan it's very nice. And the instructions were straight forward. Thats why I gave 5 stars for appearance. because it looks high end. I didn't use the remote because we already have two switches on the wall from our old one. The led light is very bright and works great. The brushed nickel surface is flawless. Don't consider my problems with this fan the norm. Read all the reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tech1 from Classic look. I would recommend the Cameron Ceiling Fan. The product is quality made and built to last. I like the look, it is very classic and will go in any room. The remote fan comes with a remote sensor that has to be installed in the small ceiling mount. It will all fit in the mount but it will take time and patience. Once it is finished you will be happy with the look. The blades have two colors so pick which one works for you, one is a little more cherry wood and the other is more dull brown. LED bright light. Three fan speeds, so you can set it to move as much or as little air as you need. If you have other remote fans, make sure this one is set to a different code then the others. I am happy with the look and build of the fan.

I bought without reading the reviews and after installation, it's true the light is barely an excuse for a light. We had planned on returning it when I started looking online and saw someone on another website mention holding the light button on the remote down...it is preset to a dim setting!!! It is a dimmable light that can be turned up brighter!! OMG! Makes a huge difference! While it's still not the brightest light, it is more than acceptable to now keep! I just wish the instructions would tell people that...which is why it gets 4 stars. I bet a lot of people returned or paid more for other light bulbs for no reason. Just had to do a little research to figure it out.

We purchased this fan for our 15 foot vaulted ceiling in our living/dining room area on February 10, 2017. With a 24" down rod this ceiling fan was the perfect height: not too low to take away from the effects of having a vaulted ceiling and not so high that we cannot clean it. I love the fact that there is a pre-installed LED light that not only turns on and off with the handy dandy remote that comes with it especially because the light also has as a dimmer. This fan can be installed straight or angled and has a cherry brown blade and oak brown blade to choose from when installing. The brushed nickel finish looks amazing and the breeze from the fan is more than adequate for the room size. We love the modern look of the fan and how easy it was to install. I will update the review once we have had the fan a while to advise on how well it has held up!
