Canterbury 60 in. Integrated LED Indoor Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan with Light Kit and Remote Control

It's a nice modern fan for a reasonable price. You see similar types of fans for 10 times more than what this is going for. It is easy to assemble and is very attractive if you have a more modern home or living areas. I would recommend if you are a DIY'er that you have some help installing it. Trust me having to go up and down that ladder is a pain. I would also recommend you patch and paint the area if you had a previous fan that had a larger base. I had to do this. I have this currently in my bedroom with more modern closets and furniture and looks nice.

We installed 2 of these in one room in our house that has vaulted ceilings, they put off a great amount of air! One was installed with a down rod, they both have worked perfectly and the light is bright. We will be purchasing a 3rd soon for another room!

This fan really surprised me in a good way. I’m picky when it comes to ceiling fans since I’ve owned plenty of great, mediocre, and disappointing ones over the years. This one falls into my ‘great’ category. I have several observations from installing to using it over the last week or so. My observations: • Install is standard and took me about 45 minutes which was 15 minutes more than normal. My install was on a high ceiling and I had difficulties tucking in all the wires from the ‘receiver’, ‘fan’ and electrical box into the canopy. Sometimes that can be tricky when the canopy is a bit small and you are trying to screw everything in place. This one provides just enough room but you may have a small amount of frustration for a few moments. • I appreciate how this package included a metal shade just in case you want the non-lighted version. Very few ceiling fans still offer this versatility so that was a major plus. • The light itself is plenty bright and the ability to dim as needed with the remote works well. • The fan operation is very quiet. To me that is critical. Every setting was quiet with the only noise being the sound of air moving at the higher speeds. • The fan has a unique appearance. I was on the fence at first since it’s different than many of our other fans in our home, however once I got it installed I thought it looked great in the room. • The fan blades have a stylish ‘rough’ appearance and they are wood. • Also, my fan was in perfect balance (no wobble) after install with no adjusting needed. • The air movement is impressive for a 3 blade fan. It moves more air than many of our 5 blade fans. This really does move a lot of air which makes me happy. I really like the fan and have already recommended it others. It’s a good unit with some nice versatility and a modern look that will look great in many homes. I recommend.

I really like this new HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION CANTERBURY 60 IN. INTEGRATED LED INDOOR BRUSHED NICKEL CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT KIT AND REMOTE CONTROL! It was much easier to install than other DC fans I have installed in the past! This particular on gave you ample space inside the hanging bracket to install the transmitter, where with other fans, it was a real battle! The blades have almost no weight to them, which adds to the ease of installation! The light is bright, and I love the 6 speeds, which allow you to choose the exact setting that is right for you! This fan is a winner with me, and I highly recommend it!

The ceiling fan kit is awesome looks great has plenty of options and moves a lot of air very easily. The design if unique it looks like a air plane blade. Being only three fan blades it still moves a lot of air. the included remote controll is a addes bonus and is very easy to install and use. I did have some issues with the install. My house has two switches for the fan. ONe foe the fan and the other one for the light. I had to cap off one switch and onle use one. Also the fan is very large so even at low it moves a lot of air. Love the design and love the look. The instruction manuel is very east to follow and the tools needed clear written on the instruction book.

This review is for the Home Decorators Collection "Canterbury" 3 bladed 60 inch ceiling fan, Item # 1003 450 048. In the past years, I've mounted at least 20+ residential ceiling fans. I liked several things about this fan that in my opinion place it far ahead of a lot of the competition. When this fan arrived, it was packaged very professionally, each item separately bagged and in it's own compartment. The instructions were well presented in both diagrams and instructional narrative. My biggest positive for this fan is the DC motor. I've have DC in other fans I currently own, and like those, this fan is extremely quiet in operation and is rated at using 75% less power than a typical AC motor fan. The advertised average annual electrical costs for this fan is $5.00. Of course that depends on the rates where you live, but that's amazing. And this is an important attribute to us living in Phoenix who have our fans running 11 months out of the year. Of the 6 fans I have in his home, three of them are 3 bladed. I've come to love the simplicity of their design and how much air they can move at low, and at very quiet speeds, it's amazing. This specific fan comes with a brushed stainless body and REAL wooden blades with a good twist to them that will allow them to move a lot of air, which they do gracefully. This fan has 6 forward speeds, the ability to reverse the blades from the remote control and a dimming LED light that gets very bright. The dimming button is located beneath the battery cover. I mounted this fan in our large master bedroom and this LED puts out more than enough light. As said above, instructions were straight forward and this fan was very easy to mount; no tricks, no things making you scratch your head. A layman installing his first fan should have no problems with this installation. Be positive that you have tagged and thrown the electrical breaker first. There are two things that people new to DC fan motors should know. First, the fans on/off should NOT be controlled by a wall switch. The DC motor's circuits need to have power supplied to them "at all times". This doesn't mean running, just a power source maintained within the circuitry. The fan's movement should only be controlled by using the remote control. The second is that DC fan motors have this different start up procedure when they are sometimes started for the day. They will come on, turn one direction for a few seconds, then turn another, then start running at the selected speed. This has to do with synchronizing, it's normal. The instructions were good, installation was fairly easy, and the fan and remote control work great! It moves a lot of air, works well in the large room where we installed it. Some reviewers said it was tricky to stow all of the connected wires - I did not have a problem with that.

The aesthetics of the fan are great. The low drop of the fan/light combo is great for low ceilings. I wish the "High" speed was a little higher but I really like the DC motor. It is very quiet. Installation was made difficult because the leads on the remote motor controller were a little too short making it very difficult connecting it to the source electric wires in the ceiling box. The size and configuration of the fan support bracket obstructs your fingers during wiring. I had to add jumper extensions to the existing wiring to allow the controller to be wired properly. I wired the controller knowing it has to be inserted inside the bracket when done. You must train the wires and cut the lengths carefully. After finishing that, the rest of the install went well. Fan speed and light control work well through the provided remote. The fan remembers the "as left" setting from the previous use so you don't have to reset the speed and the light. Overall I am happy with the unit and would buy it again.
