This Blackout Roller Shade is perfect for the bedroom! The natural color of the shade blends with many styles. I was impressed by the amount of light it blocks out, and sound! They are cordless and the perfect option for homes with kids or pets that like to play with window blind strings, it has a small metal handle in the middle to pull down or to roll up. The self cleaning feature is like magic, this shade always looks clean.

The HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION NATURAL CORDLESS STAIN RESISTANT BLACKOUT ROLLER SHADES 29 IN. W X 72 IN. L in light gray is a true Blackout product. This upgrade was purchased to be included in an overall window upgrade. Using Home Depot windows and their window accessories allows for a great package of value to the property. The photos attached are pending replacement of windows this Spring.

Overall, I am not overly impressed with these Home Decorators Collection blackout shades. Install of the product was fairly simple. It took no more than 15 minutes to take off the old shades and install these new ones. With that said, the instructions themselves could be a bit more detailed. Installation of the cover, for example, could have used a bit more explanation than the instructions provided. While the shades do blackout some light, there is a spot at the top that lets in some light. Not 100% blackout. The look of the shades is just average. They are fairly bland and don't give a stylish look. I do think the shades will last for some time, which gives them an average score. The overall look and lack of full blackout keeps it from scoring higher.

We have been using slat blinds in our house. They are OK, but when the sun is in the west there is too much sun coming in for watching TV, and it really warms up the area in the summer time. The roller shade is better at keeping the sun out. Another benefit is that the cords on our old blinds were becoming a pain to get set in the right position, but the roller blind is doing a better job of adjusting the height. The installation was exceedingly easy. Once you get the mounting hardware up, the blind just clicks into place. And if you want to take the blind down, you only have to pull a small tab on the right side to release the blind.

I like the cordless shade is stain-resistant. All the required hardware is included. The whole installation process took me only 15 minutes. Just make sure to not remove the tape that’s holding the shades till you finished the installation. This is a great product.

HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION CUT-TO-SIZE WHITE CORDLESS BLACKOUT STAIN RESISTANT ROLLER SHADES 55 IN. W X 72 IN. L Overall the quality and size of this roller shade is very high quality. However, I had 1 major issue with the shade. No Where can cut this to size in the store- including home depot. I contacted several places to cut this and you must hand cut it to size if you would like to utilize the shade for the specific size. These instructions are not included with the shade but, are readily available online via DIY forums. The middle of the shade has a spring in it and the employees told me there must be a rod for them to cut it. Overall, I was disappointed because the cut-to-size was more labor intensive than other options on the market. However! The shade itself is absolutely beautiful and feels high end and overall very sturdy and efficient. I was very impressed with the quality and would not hesitate to use this if it could more easily be cut.
