AnswerThis style shade is available in select custom cut width sizes. The size ordered depends on how you decide to mount the shade. For inside mount we recommend ordering a half inch size smaller. Outside mount it is recommended to order a half inch size larger. Please note each size includes a half inch deduction from order size.

AnswerSimply leave the small extra length since it will "gather" at the bottom when the shades are closed and only show about a 2" stack at the bottom. If you shades are mostly open this shouldn't be a problem and if the shades are mostly closed you probably won't notice it any. The shade can be shortened if necessary but for only an 8" difference probably not worth the effort to do so. My shades all gather at the bottom a bit also but since they're open most of the time anyway I don't find it objectionable. Hope this helps.

AnswerWe do not recommend cutting the shade because it will damage the operating mechanism and void the manufacturers warranty. You can adjust the length by raising or lowering the shade.

I installed four of these in our dining room and I am loving them so far! I like they let plenty of light through, even when they are closed. Install was easy and quick. I love the cordless operation, it is easy but also feels sturdy so I dont worry about it breaking. I think they look more expensive than they actually are, and being able to order the exact size I need gives the window a custom look. FYI I would not install anywhere that needs privacy, at least without some additional coverings like curtains.

The shade looks great! Because it is real bamboo slats, it's heavy enough that it helps to have a second person to install it. It takes a little bit of wrist power to open and close it, but I was also surprised by how much cold it kept from coming through the window.

I searched for quite a while for what I wanted for my sons bedrooms, I absolutely adore these. My husband and I installed them ourselves, it only took us a little bit to get them up, and they are absolutely beautiful. Quality seems great, and I love the look of them.
