Danforth 48 in. Antique Patina Standard Rectangle Wood Console Table with Drawers

Not "antique patina" as much as "'70's brown". Which is almost antique by today's standards, I guess. Having it arrive fully assembled is nice. It's constructed of the wood typical for furniture out of India and Malaysia, though I don't know the name. Drawer bottoms are 1/8" ply (very thin). Disappointed that there is not even basic sliding hardware in the drawer, so it skids along the edge of the face (see pic) and will eventually get a worn look ("country charm"?); I would get something with hardware if you'll be in them a lot. They also have quite the tilt when out all the way (pic), but a small swivel-up arm in the back keeps it from sliding out enough to fall. Most of the wood, like the slats, is stained on all sides, so it was probably done before assembly, so I'm confident temperature changes that make components shrink and move won't leave unstained edges showing. It has legs in the middle, so it won't sag over time under the weight of books. And though not my favorite color, the wife likes it, and it's growing on me. Perfect for the entry or a little extra storage room almost anywhere.

What a nice, well made, beautiful, handcrafted piece of furniture. I couldn't be more pleased. This is a solid wood table with dovetailed drawers. No cheap wood veneers here. I thought it might be cheap Chinese junk, but it is not. I saw some similar looking tables in this Mission style that were made by the Amish, and this one is just about as nice for a lot cheaper. The table arrives fully assembled. I thought I was going to have to put it together, so that was a bonus. so when the table arrives, cut down each side of the box and slide the table out. Don't try to lift it out of the top. Mine came absolutely scratch and dent free. I went over it with a fine tooth comb, and that is because there is so much packing material, and the table is so well packed and protected. I tried to recycle as much of the cardboard as I could, but the garbage man is going to not like this box. The only fault I could find with the table is the fact that it had no drawer slides. The drawers rub wood to wood just like old antique dressers and tables. Drawer slides are fairly modern. So what I did is add some thin felt self stick strips as you can see in my pictures. It really smoothed out the drawer operation and made it sound better too. It also has adjustable feet that screw in and out in case the floor is not level. I found this out by accident when I was trying to level out mine. If you don't mind a big box and all the packing material, this is a great looking table in this style.

This 2-drawer console table is amazingly well constructed using solid hardwoods with attractive veneers. Well packaged and arrived safely via UPS which was unexpected due to weight and bulkiness but nonetheless welcomed. The 2-drawers are dovetail constructed which require added time and skill to complete its construction. The draws however do NOT have side support hence will droop when partially open. Backside of each draw however do have backstops to prevent draws from falling down thereby spilling drawer contents. From afar, it is very attractive and will compliment any home décor. This is NOT a assemble-it-yourself budget type furniture and will provide years of service unlike purchased home assembled furniture which continually requires re-torqueing and tightening of metal screws and fasteners. Well done Home Depot!

Very nice accent table which will compliment any setting. Nicely made using hardwood veneers. I do wish however they would have spent a little more time installing drawer glides instead of a "hockey" drawer stop to prevent the whole drawer from falling out if the drawer were pulled completely out
