Ive used various types of vinyl plank flooring over the past year or so and this is some of the best I’ve seen. The padding on the back is one of the main reasons i think so highly of this flooring. It’s sort of a neoprene mesh type of padding. The walnut finish will compliment most applications from modern to farmhouse and has a good grain to it. This is definitely quality flooring. As with most vinyl plank flooring, installation is simple and doesn’t require many tools. A straight edge, sharp knife and a rubber hammer and you are good to go.

This Home Decorators Collection Callahan Oak 7.20 inch W x 42 inch L SPC Waterproof Vinyl Plank Flooring (25.20 Sq. Ft./Case) looked to be the perfect flooring to add to my wife's new 8 x 12 foot storage shed floor. We also ordered some Home Decorators Collection McKinney Walnut Vinyl Plank Flooring in the same size and I gave my wife the choice of either one or both in her storage shed. She opted for both and I proceeded to lay it in her shed using a randomized zig-zag pattern. I laid nearly 1,000 sq. ft. of "luxury vinyl plank flooring" a few years ago in one of our rental homes, so I am very familiar with the process. That was a good thing because the printed instructions that come with the HDC vinyl flooring are pretty poor. They seem to be written by lawyers who are looking for any excuse to void the lifetime warranty on the flooring. They also seem to be written for both vinyl and real wood flooring so there are several sections that have nothing to do with laying vinyl plank flooring. The actual part that covers laying a floating vinyl plank floor is only half a page in the three pages of instructions and it's not all that well done. Actually laying the vinyl planks went pretty well once I had established the first two rows of planks. I ripped the first and last rows down to 4-1/2 inches wide on my table saw so that the two edge rows would be approximately equal width and the full width planks would be centered in the floor space. These planks were harder to get to interlock than the ones I had done several years ago. The interlocking edges seem softer than the ones I had previously experienced. Cutting the individual planks to length is easy with a utility knife: you just score the front and snap the plank on a sharp edge. I used the shed's benchtop to snap the planks as I cut them but I had to manually slice the black backing layer of rubber with the knife after I snapped the edge. The black rubber backing is both a blessing and a curse in that it keeps the planks from slipping around on the floor once you've set them in place but also slows down the cut and snap process. Another problem I encountered was that the planks may not stay locked together when you try to add the next row of planks. Several times I had to stop and re-connect a row that had separated even though it had "clicked" together originally. Still, the planks went down fairly quickly and cutting around obstacles was easy. Between the utility knife and a pair of straight aviation snips I was able to easily trim the plank ends as needed to fit around minor obstructions along the walls of the shed. Although this was a bit harder to install than the vinyl plank flooring I was familiar with, it still provided a nice looking waterproof floor in my wife's storage shed. The remaining vinyl planks will eventually go into my garage where I have a badly deteriorating painted concrete floor even though we don't park our cars in it.

I used this floor to re-do the small toilet closet in my workshop. Part of the area had previously been a shower, so that part was bare plywood. The other part had been covered by a thin linoleum floor, most of which remained in place and is now under this new floor. The snap-lock system is fairly easy to use, but care must be taken not to bend the little flaps too much. I broke some of it on my first try, but since this floor isn't inside the main house, I went ahead with the installation of those pieces. The floor is easy to cut with a jigsaw and hole saw. I tried with a razor knife and had no success. I did a little damage test on a spare piece (see my video link).

The HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION MCKINNEY WALNUT 7.20 IN. W X 42 IN. L SPC WATERPROOF VINYL PLANK FLOORING (25.20 SQ. FT./CASE) has a lovely shading of walnut. I think this vinyl flooring looks like actual wood between the coloring and the woodgrain. The wood grain looks and feels like real wood and feels nice on the feet. The system used to join the planks together works well and is easy to use. The flooring comes with a pre-installed rubber cushion for a smooth feeling under foot and no need to buy an extra underlayment. The flooring has a low profile. I will be putting this in my kitchen to update a previous wood laminate floor. This flooring is Waterproof, scratch resistant and has a limited lifetime warranty. This flooring can be installed over plywood or concrete subfloor. I would definitely recommend this floor for use in a kitchen or bathroom where moisture could be an issue.

Home Decorators Collection Arkansas Oak This solid vinyl waterproof plank flooring is really nice for the Do-It-Yourselfer, very easy to trim to the size needed, as well as being able to lock together very easy. It has a built-in sound absorbing pad attached to it, so you don’t need to install an underlayment before you install this flooring. The wood look finish done to these tile planks are really nice and faithful to what a wood floor would look like. This flooring comes with a lifetime limited warranty under residential use or a 10 year light commercial warranty. Each plank measures 7.20 inch by 42 inches wide. This flooring is both phthalate-free and formaldehyde-free. This is one of my favorite types of flooring overall, durable, easy to install, waterproof and great looking.

This rigid core stone polymer composite floor is a newer technology. The waterproof product is perfect for DIY home installation. This walnut pattern has realistic grain tones along with a wood pattern which resembles hardwood flooring. The technology has come a long way since the old flooring products. Hard to tell this is not real hardwood when looking from across the room. The company offers a lifetime residential structural and finish warranty. Cases are available for home delivery on a wood pallet. Easy to order and have shipped to home for a weekend project.

Great looking vinyl plank flooring which is perfect for home installation DIY. This floor comes with an anti scratch LED finish protectant. The Home Decorators Collection brand comes with a finish warranty. Great oak color with nice pattern to resemble hardwoods. The locking system works well during installation and the ability to install without glue is really a wonderful feature. This is a great floor which I can recommend without reservation.

Fourth time is a charm. This is my fourth LVP type. It's good quality and very easy to put in. I did use an additional underlayment to 'soften' the floor which helped. I liked it enough that I've decided to use this same flooring in another part of the house.

The floors are beautiful but they scratch so so easy. You have to be extremely careful which is a huge downside if you added this floor in a high traffic area like the kitchen.
