There were bronze patches on the light. They were not rustic, faded looking spots but actual patches of different colors.

We love it! We put it in our hallway. It’s not extremely bright but it lights the way. So if someone if wanting to use it to have good lighting this isn’t the fixture but if you kind of want it light but more of a dimmer look this is it. We love it.I’m sure you could possibly change the bulb out but then it changes the style .

I absolutely LOVE the look of these lights BUT the bulbs are hot bulbs (as in old-fashioned, out-of-date, non-LED, filament bulbs) I found that I had to go and buy specialty LED bulbs to put in them but couldn’t find a version more tubular like this one. I still love the look and did buy a more vintage/industrial looking bulb, but it was still a huge disappointment to have to replace these bulbs right away.

Very nice simple design - note that this is "VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL STYLE" (rough handmade appearance, not all joints are smooth, nor at right angles - see photos - the orange reference item is a right angle triangle - the glass corners are also not square). The dark bronze color is very effective in highlighting the simple exposed bulb. Installation was very easy with all the necessary hardware included and a very well written and illustrated installation guide.
