Wow. That is a lot of screws
The Good:
Its pretty.
Instructions are straightforward. People who are complaining about them probably shouldnt be hanging things overhead or wiring electrical circuits.
The Bad:
Wish there was way to lock it to a single color temp. Accidently pressing the button means you have to cycling through all of them all over again.
So. Many. Screws. I've hung over a dozen fans and this one was by far the most screwy.

Nice fan, but memory doesn’t work
Manufacturer doesn’t seem to be able to answer how memory function should be able to work when turned on/off with switch (apparently fan memory works but light memory does not) vs with remote (memory for light works, but no fan memory requiring a lot of clicking to return to an appropriate speed). If I bought again I might go with a Hunter or Hampton Bay assuming they have more experience designing these things.

My fan looks awesome, it has a DC motor not an AC, and stutters a little to start but we don’t mind. It looks awesome in the space and it isn’t really that noticeable. Use the directions not YouTube !

Nice Modern Looking Fan
This is a very nice and modern looking fan. This model has a few extra steps and parts to assemble but when done, the fan looks great. The light is not very bright and will not light up a large room too well. I like the quick connect plugs for the wiring harness of the fan to the control unit. Another big thing is pay attention to when they say "install all BUT ONE BLADE" prior to hanging. Do this to get close to the fan to make wiring connections first and then install remaining blade.

Great fan but pay attention to detail
Great fan but pay attention to detail when you’re installing. If you do not read the instructions you run into problems with the installation such as the light fixture and blades touching.
I installed this for my father-n-law. Definitely nice fan flow for 13x13 or 15x15 room size.

Moves the air!
I recently purchased two of these fans for my large back porch. Living on the Gulf Coast means brutally hot summers and the fans I had in place just weren’t cutting it. I did my research and subsequently purchased two of these fans. I’ve probably installed a dozen fans through the years and these were about average as far as installation difficulty. The cross braces attaching the blades took a bit longer than other fans but, the instructions were good. I purchased 12” downrods as i have fairly high ceilings. The included wiring harnesses have plenty of extra wire to handle most any size downrod. The lighting kit was easy to install as well. Given i control both fans with one remote I would caution changing the hue of the lights because they will get out of sync. I managed to get them both the same again and will NOT change the hue going forward. I saw where someone said they dont put out much light and I disagree. Lit up my back porch like a stadium. The fan blades are plywood which was a bit concerning because I like to clean my blades beginning of each season. The manual recommends cleaning with a dry cloth. On to the fans and air movement…I couldnt be happier. These fans move the air and they are rock solid. No wobbling at all and the DC motor is absolutely quiet. Additionally, I found the instructions to be very good with one exception. . They didn’t mention what to do with the antenna wire so I just coiled it in canopy. Works great. Years ago you needed to expose the antenna outside the canopy but not with these. The parts bag also includes one extra screw for each step of the installation process. Nice touch!. Would I purchase these again if need be, absolutely! You can pay less but may not be as pleased. If you have a large covered porch or need serious air movement inside the house, I believe you’ll be happy with your purchase.

Don’t buy this fan
We purchased this fan worked on installation for several hours. Instructions are poorly written, referenced parts that aren’t in the box. The light mount didn’t fit the metal piece that holds the glass dome. Had to return to HD for new screws and new dome install both turn the fan on dome shatters. Put up without dome. Tightened blades up. Turn on week later problem is back.

We are sorry to hear that you had this issue. There is a complete installation video located with the alternate images on the product page to assist with each step of the installation. In this case it sounds like the blade arms were attached on the wrong side of the black bracket which would cause the light shade to not be able to attach to the fan properly. In general, if there are any issues with the fan, we suggest calling Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460. In most cases, issues can be resolved over the phone with some minor troubleshooting.
