A beautiful set of decorative carriage-style lanterns.
The top is made of bronzed metal and includes a carry/hanging hook. The top is open where the hook is. I chose to place mine on a tabletop.
The sides are light wood with real glass panes held in by small metal tabs.
The front door has two bronze hinges on the right side, with a latch on the left side.
Be careful when unpacking as one is packed inside the other. You do not want to break a glass pane. When mine arrived, one of the tops was reversed (hanging hook on side-to-side instead of front-to-back), but that was easy to reverse by removing the 8 screws on the top.
Also check each glass pane. You may need to check and/or remount each glass pane for maximum security.
I placed some LED candles in mine. With the larger one, you might need an extra large candle. Instead, I used 3 smaller candles in the large lantern.
The bottom has felt pads so you do not scratch any furniture when placing the items.
And the bottom inside of the lantern is also a bronzed metal plate so you can place your candle on that.
I assume you might be able to use this with real candles but I am not sure.
With this set, you get a large and a small lantern together. Great for a long table or to complete a room.
Our LED candles are on timers so they go on and off automatically each night. That makes it easy.

Stylish and versatile, the light colored natural wood contrasts nicely with the dark bronze metal. The larger lantern is much bigger than I expected, not only quite tall, but with a generous diameter, big enough to fit two candles if desired. I mixed the smaller lantern with several others on my fireplace hearth (see photo) and it fits beautifully as part of a grouping. The simple but classic design of the lantern lends itself not only to an electric candle, but looks great with some miniature string lights inside (see photo), or even a potted plant (see photo). And while I like the natural wood appearance, I varnished one of them to deepen the wood's color (see photo). It's important to remember that these lanterns are intended for indoor use only. I ordered my first set of lanterns, and despite the excellent foam protection and packaging, unfortunately the glass panels in the large lantern were dislodged and one broken. There are metal tabs holding each glass panel inside the wood frame, and the tabs were not pressed down securely enough to prevent movement. I received a replacement set, and again the larger lantern's panels had dislodged, but not broken. My recommendation is to check all the tabs to make sure they are pressed down on the glass securely, and if they aren't, just press them down yourself.

This lantern set is a very good looking product. The architectual design is very pleasing. The finish of the wood frame is good. The sizes are 20.75 inches tall and 8.25 by 8.25 inches at base for the small and 28.9 inches tall and 11.5 by 11.5 at base for the large. The construction does not meet the same success as the design. The glazing pins that hold the glass in place was not installed correctly. This allowed the glass panels to fall out of the large lantern breaking one in shipment. This was only on the large lantern and not the small lantern.

These are a little pricey but really like the look. Nice and tall for the one and the other matches perfectly. Actually ordered a 2nd set. One for inside and the other outside in covered porch.
