Fan looks good and install was easy for a diy the issue is that it has a hesitation when you start the fan it starts and stops about 3 times before it takes of and after that it works very well

This is my 7th home decorators fan and they are all a little different, but I do like them. The features are great on the remote control: Reverse fan rotation, 3 light temperatures (cool, mid warm, or indoor warm), finally the receiver was built in the fan so you don't have to mess with packing the wires into a small base. However, the low fan speed is the fastest low speed I have encountered on any ceiling fan I have had. Since it is a bit faster it makes the winter rotation almost useless because it spins so fast it creates cool air. I have always used the reverse rotation on my fans and never had this problem until now. The downrod is 6" and I feel like it is too low for my 9' ceiling. I tried to use a 3" downrod I had left from my other homedec fan, but it would not fit. The body of the fan is large and with the 6" long downrod, I feel like this looks bulky in my (17x17') living room, and gives a cramped feeling. If this could have been mounted flush or a 2" downrod I think it would have looked nicer. Another thing, there were a lot of pieces to put together, it took an electrician about 50 minutes. It is still nice and definitely cools well, but some things need to be corrected (speed, flush mount option)

These ceiling fans with the remote control are by far the best idea ever for ceiling fans plus they make installation so much easier. The Antique Nickel with etched glass shade looks great and gives it an elegant look for my living room. And I have to say that LED is better than light Bulbs to me, they last longer and eliminate all the ladder climbing when the bulb burns out. Best of all with this fan i get to choose from three(3) different color lights settings ALL controlled from the handy remote. The entire fan comes all nicely packed and organized. So Yes, this item is a definite recommendation for your home.

This Palermo Grove 60" ceiling fan has 6 blades and is from the Home Depot Home Decorators Collection. It is a very attractive and modern looking fan and comes with a remote that controls the 3 speed motor and a LED light with 3 intensities. The remote receiver is built into the motor housing, unlike many fans with remotes, and this makes installation at the ceiling much easier. The 6 fan blades have reversible sides with 1 side polished wood and the other a pickled drift wood look. I chose the polished wood side of the blades. The fan came very well packed and with comprehensive instructions and drawings and was easy to assemble and install except that the 2 AAA batteries that came wrapped in plastic for the remote were DEFECTIVE and caused me much grief before I solved the remote control problem with replacement batteries. The light seems to flicker slightly on occasion and I can not tell the difference in 2 of the 3 light intensities. The light does not dim as in some other fans, I also had to buy a 12" down rod because of our sloped ceiling but the fan comes with a 6" down rod for most ceilings and can also be mounted flush with the ceiling if desired. Priced at $279 in May of 2019 it is a good value for a high end and modern looking large ceiling fan and I would recommend it.

I have replaced a lot of ceiling fans in my time, 20 or more at least. This fan while having more decorative parts, was one of the easiest to install. Instructions were clear and pretty much idiot proof. I did have to call in for advice about the wiring, I have two switches that controlled my old fan, one for the fan the other for the light, which means I had 4 wires coming from the ceiling instead of the three in their diagrams. I was pretty sure the extra red wire needed to be connected to the black wire, but wanted to be sure. Customer service was fast, knew what they were talking about and very friendly. Now the fan is up, it is beautiful, moves air well and the multiple setting for the light makes it a pleasure to use. The remote is self explanatory and easy to use. Highly recommend you read the manual, there are a couple new things with this fan I've never seen before and you must know. One when you start the fan, is does a little dance before it starts to run, expect it , is part of the start up. Second if you want to change the direction of this fan for the season changes, you do it while the fan is running! Not while it is off. The fan is great the way it is, if I were to make one suggestion to make it better, I would include a wall mounted remote holder. Now a days you have remotes for everything, knowing where your fan remote is would be nice, in fact I think I will even label my fan remote as a fan remote and which room it belongs in. Great product, look forward to buying more from this company.
