What size curtain rod do these curtains require?

AnswerYou can use a 2" rod (approx) which can extend three to four inches from each side of the window frame.

It is sewn well, velvet and backing.
Two choices of how it is hung. 1 - threw the loops or 2 - threw the full length pocket behind the loops.
Blocks out light quite well.
CON's:
Velvet is thin. I fear even on delicate, this velvet is not going to hold up long to too many washings.
Maybe steam cleaning or hand wash will do the trick? The backing is questionable as well however, feels much more sturdy than the velvet.

Love the medium charcoal grey color of these drapes and they luckily match most designs or colors you may have in the room. They are semi-opaque so they will block a little more light than sheer drapes but are definitely not blackout drapes either. Really like the ability to change up how they are hung based on your room or what you have available.

These are beautiful drapes and the velvet makes them look so rich. The color is a medium charcoal grey. The fabric is so soft that I almost want to use them as a blanket. They are even machine washable! The drapes are correctly described as semi-opaque. They filter out more light than sheer curtains, but when you hold them to the light, you can see brightness through them. At the curtain's borders, the doubled-over hem can filter out all of the light. If you want a dark room, you could just double up the curtains on the rod, so that the folds add the thickness to filter the light. I think that they'd look best that way since you wouldn't see a difference between the thicker hem and the body of the drapes. These would really add a subtle sophistication to any room.

I love the color of these curtains. The neutral color means that go with pretty much any decor and wall color. They are made of a quality thick material. The material feels baby soft like velvet felt to me. They do a good job of darkening the bright sun. I was initially concerned about this material collecting dog and cat hair because of the material used, but so far this has been a non issue.

This is a nice thick curtain. It is great for nap time - really blocks the light with its solid backing. The pattern is just a solid smooth look and goes with almost anything. Grey is my color so it fits my scheme perfectly. I held it up in several rooms and it does compliment all the color schemes I have - eggplant, deep red, silver grey and dark grey. I think it would coordinate with almost any look.
