This product is nice, I like that these floors can handle a good amount of water without damaging them. The hickory has a neat pattern and at least 8-10 different planks to give it a unique look. These planks also snap together really easy, so if your looking for something that isn’t very hard to do in flooring this would be one to pick. Another thing that I really like about it is it isn’t a cold floor or too hard on your feet.

For a starter I set up the Shefton Hickory Laminate flooring together in a wishful pattern to match as close as the patterns would allow to match by the stripes and colors. After completing patterns I decided to began the laying and placing them to the floor which went quiet well after doing 4 other rooms. I tried starting in the floor and working my way to each wall took a little more planning than I was aware it would be. It finished well, but I wished I had gone straight wall to wall laying instead.

We have been systematically replacing the carpet in our house with laminate flooring. The next rooms are the family room, the master bedroom and our eldest daughter’s room. We are trying to decide on what tone of wood to proceed with. We did the living room and hall in a cherry type tone, we may replace the other flooring with this if we decide on a lighter tone. How we like this stray from the other flooring will determine our decision. We are also debating on which room to do first. While we ponder I did a small mock install in our hallway to see how it installs and looks. The install is fairly similar to other similar laminate flooring. You snap the pieces together, then use a flooring pull bar and hammer to snap the pieces tight. I will post another review when we install it the room we decide, this will also mean will most likely put the some product in the adjacent rooms. Our impression so far is that the tone and look are fantastic. We really like the lighter shade and the finish seems very durable. A typical 10x12 bedroom will take about 10 boxes plus underlayment, the bar, and spacers. This would put the price around $1000. Attached are photos including the bar which I already owned, it actually was included with flooring I bought from a competitor. One piece came slightly damaged, it is usable if you cut that end off. The planks are thicker that last stuff I did (1/2” vs 3/8”) but is made with mdf with the hard laminated surface. This means the edges that snap together can be easily damaged. More to come...

This is the best laminate I have ever seen. It is easy to use. Light weight and looks great. At a great price also. Earlier this year paid $4 plus a foot for wood flooring and another $4.00 a foot for installation. This product is nicer and is a DYI.
No splinter and goes down easily. My wife loves the look and she is the ultimate decision maker.
May be the best flooring other than real solid hardwood

I got this for the upstairs hall and it worked out well Planning on using the extra on a wall in the other hall instead of the floor. Pretty easy to lay down locks in well looks great with light colored walls. The walls look white in the picture but are a very light blueish/lavender. I have used this brand in a bathroom before and it is water resistant and fairs well. No issues and it's been months I hope the lighter hickory color fairs as well.

I installed in my laundry room. The flooring provides a comfortable, sturdy water resistant surface perfect for any area where water may be present. Installation was pretty simple and straight forward following instructions provided.

I chose this to install in a rental unit to replace some dark and drab kitchen lino. Although, we haven't installed yet. I have to order more because I want to do a larger area than intended. This as with all the HD laminate I've worked with, creates a nice foundation to any room. Durability of laminate with its textured wider planking makes it a very cost effective replacement or for new installs as well. This shading of the Shefton Hickory is beautiful IMO. I do prefer the lighter colors to make rooms brighter and tends to give a room a larger appearance. With proper underlayment, it feels and sounds like much more expensive options. Easy to maintain, too. Recommended without hesitation!

I got these to do the bathroom floor of our house, but now that I see them in person, we are thinking about buying a bunch more to do our bedroom as well. We were planning to do the bedroom in porcelain tile, but I really like this Home Decorators Collection Shefton Hickory 12mm Thick x 6.1 in. Wide x 47.64 in. Length Laminate Flooring (14.13 sq. ft. / case)! The color is nice, the quality is nice, and I love the way the panels click together. Now I need to get some underlayment! It is so hard to decide what color flooring to put down when doing this kind of project. I chose this Home Decorators Collection Shefton Hickory because of the nice color variations in the laminate flooring. It is a nice 12mm thick so once it is put down, it has a nice sturdy feel when walking on it. The locking mechanism of the flooring makes it easy to snap together to make sure it is secured together.

Nice looking engineered wood flooring. Cool patterns that look real and the micro-bevel is great looking too. Take your time and prepare your floor well. Ours is replacing carpet requiring removing the tac strips, and since it is a concrete slab, patching the holes and filling in low spots or grinding down high spots. There are small pieces that did not get cut off in manufacturing. See photo. That is why I only rated 'Quality' as Good. If they stay straight out you will have no trouble BUT if the fold over you will have difficulty getting that ‘snap’ as you put them together. It can also prevent the seams from going together completely. I would recommend snipping them off each piece before you even start. Other than that they look fantastic. Also make sure you place padding under the planks or you WILL get some noise.
