The Home Decorators Collection Tybault 52 in. LED Natural Iron Ceiling Fan has a very slim design and uses a very energy efficient DC motor. The dome style light kit uses a 17-Watt LED module that is also very energy efficient. The blades are reversible in either walnut to match the housing or in black finish. This fan includes a remote control that has up to 9 speeds with reverse on the control and includes the (2) AAA batteries. DC motor fans are 70% more energy efficient than AC motor fans (when comparing efficiency (CFM/W) of DC vs AC motors in published FTC Energy Guides for ceiling fans).

Beautiful fan but...
The good: looks great, moves a lot of air, quiet motor, easy to assemble, dimmable light, variable speed. The bad: after only a year the blades are slightly warped so I reversed them, wood color is nothing like the pictures, if you tighten bladed all the way with provided hex key it makes a lot of vibrating noise, have to reprogram remote if switch is off for an extended period of time.

Loved the price, liked the rustic look, couldn't wait to get it installed in my office. So disappointed shortly followed. When the fan arrived I unboxed it, quickly read the directions and installed it above my desk. The fan was DOA. No means, no method and no advice from that support phone number in the literature resurrected that fan. I was issued a return UPS label, boxed it up, took a short trip to the UPS drop off site and back to Home Depot it went. I purchased another, same make, same model and waited another week for it's arrival. Yesterday I unboxed that fan and started to assemble. This time two of the four arms did not allow the bolts to properly connect with the housing when aligning the placement pins built into the metal brackets. When fully tightened two of the blade brackets had 1/16" gaps between the housing and the bracket on one end of the bracket. Then I spun the fan and that unmistakable sound of rubbing metal started in one portion of each revolution. The brackets holding the fan blades were rubbing on the light assembly as it spun. When looking closer the entire light assembly was crooked to the housing. Okay, maybe just a few minor glitches, right? Nope! I disassembled that fan expecting to see a bent washer or something not installed properly but that's not the way my luck runs, the actual motor shaft was machined improperly with the flat on the shaft that aligns the light bracket assembly not square to the housing. Can't fix that one. I just finished boxing it up, not my idea of a great way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow I'll be calling that customer service line once again for another return label and I'm finished with this make and model. There is quite apparently zero quality control wherever this thing is manufactured. It's truly a hit or miss item. Maybe you get a good one, maybe not. Me, I got two defective fans within 3 weeks, I still have no fan above my desk and it's hot in Florida right now. No joy in this office today.

This is the most technologically advanced and feature rich ceiling fan I have ever seen Model # YG631-NI Internet #300912156 Home Decorators Collection Tybault 52 in. LED DC Motor Natural Iron Ceiling Fan This is the first DC motor ceiling fan I have used. DC is the newest technology for saving energy. The kit even has a 17-Watt LED light module for even more energy efficiency. DC provides more power for less energy than A/C current. And the motor is so much quieter at any speed. That is because alternating current can cause a buzz you sometimes hear in other ceiling fans. The installation was a little different since you only have 3 wires to connect, the remote receiver is already built into the light. The iron brackets for the blades are a little tricky to install and the holes in the brackets may need a little coaxing in order to get a bolt through them. You have to use an Allen wrench which is included in the kit. I picked the walnut side of the blade instead of the black finish. The remote has so many features (see photo), you need to read the user manual to make it work. (You have to sync the remote to the receiver.) When you have done the sync and what do you get? - Fan speed indicator - LED lights for each of the features - 9 Speeds - Forward and Reverse without touching the fan - Variable light control - Quick select timer Quick select for speed One more thing about the remote transmitter, it comes pre set so that you can't dim the lights. When you insert the batteries, if you want to dim your light, set the switch to 'ON'. (see photo) About the name Tybault A name for boys of Old German derivation, and Tybault means "brave people". Tybault is an alternate spelling of Theobald (Old German). FEATURES: (4) reversible walnut/black blades 14° blade pitch for increased air flow 17-Watt LED light source for energy efficiency Dual mount installation for either standard downrod or angled ceiling Decorative canopy ring and coupling cover to conceal any exposed screws Design for indoor use only Twist-and-lock glass for easy installation Hand held remote controls fan's 9-speeds, light dimming, light delay, comfort breeze and can also reverse the fans direction and includes (2) AAA batteries function Lifetime motor warranty

This fan was mounted in a small bedroom. It's quiet but moves a lot of air. I really enjoy the remote, this eliminates old style dangling strings and its controls the directions of the fan for winter/summer setting. You can also dim the light at a touch of the remote. For a small size room, the light is bright enough. The look could be set traditional with the wood side blades, or for those who likes the modern look, they can use the black side blades. The "L" shape steel brackets for the blades are much more appealing then the old mount bracket. A remote wall holder would of been nice for storage and keep track of the remote.

Love the sound of a nice quiet fan! Nice fan, the light leaves a little to be desired. I also like things very bright! Looking up at this fan from the ground, it's a good looking fan. The fan is quiet and moves a lot of air. The light is a fixture that is made specifically for this fan and can not be changed. The light is a string of LEDs though so they should last a long time. I just wish they were a bit brighter. The glass cover that houses the LED light can be removed and the light is much brighter, but then you see the LEDs themselves. Of coarse the wood finish is not real wood, more of a print or a laminate. Up close the fan doesn't look the greatest because of this. As I said though once the fan is in the air and you are looking up at it, it looks pretty good. Just a note, this fan is not designed to be used with a fan switch and a light switch. If using two switches is your goal you might want to look at another fan.

This is by far the easiest Ceiling Fan I have ever put up, with all the nice features like the remote control and LED light it weighs far less then those ancient ceiling fans and putting it together was a breeze, just lay everything out on a table and begin the process, It looks and operates far better then the old ceiling fan I had and the best feature I think is being able to control it with its remote control and all the nice things you can do like forward or reverse dimming the lights from real bright to dull, I think anyone whose looking to up grade should look no further.

Easiest fan yet to install. No separate wiring for light fixture or remote transformer. Everything is pre wired. Quiet and moves just enough air.

This is the Rolls Royce of affordable ceiling fans. It is super quiet with a bright enough light to see adequately. It has multiple speeds and is attractive. The remote control feature is a must have. Unlike other fans, this type calibrates by slowly turning in one direction then the other. Next, it starts spinning. We really like this fan. It even has an outdoor breeze setting. Superb!!
