The 34x48 ones I purchased did but the 34x64 ones did not. Also the mounting hardware on the 48 length was whit and with the 64 length it was silver. Very disappointing

Yes, there are a number of videos online showing how. Also, some other brands of blinds have the instructions for shortening them. I don't recall whether these instructions included that or not.

No...they DO NOT have to be extended all the way down, they work in partial open setting. You can shorten the shade but we found it a "pain" to do so if many windows. We did but found it a bit difficult...a 7 of 10 scale. We have had these up in both white and wooden and found that in East TN the south-west exposures to summer light through non-e-glass will eventually cause the blinds to discolor. If white, we found a can of plastic compatible paint removes the orange discoloration and makes like new. This helped when we discovered the orange from the heat of the sun in ours past warranty. I highly advise getting these as they have been in our home for over 20 years and are still working as well as the day we installed them. And for their age they look good! I should be that ageless LOL !

Valences are not good. They only go across the top leaving the sides showing metal. Not happy about this.

Yes, they trim it for you. It tells you on the box how much can be trimmed. // can you tell they were trimmed? Not really—unless you walk right up to them and know you are looking for that. The blind is white all the way through, so the cut edge is still white. I noticed a few little (really little...like 1 mm) spots where there was a chip due to the saw not being perfectly sharp. However, given that there were about 30 slats and each was cut on both sides, that’s 2 teeny “dings” on 60 surfaces. I brushed them with my finger and you’d have to be looking from about 2” away to see them.
