Shades ok, but the bottom of three of the blinds...
Shades ok, but the bottom of three of the blinds were cracked when cut at the store. Didn't notice it until we got home. We are 3 hours from the store, not easy to go back.

Great room darkening blind.
Unless cutting width yourself; they cut blind a quarter to half inch smaller thinking you didnt account for room in window. I wanted no gaps and was mounting 2 side by side to allow window to open. Brackets for an inside mount can be tricky. Allow a little gap for depth 1/8"; this makes blind snap in easier. My room is so dark with the mocha color. Make sure you are gentle with blinds with mounting. Definitely an adult product or an older kid for usage in bedroom. Little kids would destroy this. My has a shiny coating inside, white on the window facing, and bownidh paperlike facing towards you. No fancy handles which makes it great if you want to add some cutains over the top.

Cut it to size myself at home
I bought the 23" x 48" size at the store and cut it down to 20" by wrapping it in masking tape at the cut line and using a 10" circular table saw with a 200 tooth saw. I did see where some folks used a hack Saw, but reading online suggested the circular saw. It worked flawlessly, I had to cut it twice as I didn't take into account the End Caps. The 23" wide product oly comes with two (2) hangers, not three (3) as depicted in the instructions. I hung them 4" out from the inside of each side, as per instructions. I only used one (1) screw per hanger as I thought two (2) was unnecessary based on the depth of the screws and size of the product. I also did not use the bottom attachments as they are not necessary to hold it down, I believe these are to prevent it from moving around in a breeze, I saved them for later, just in case.

Does the job, looks classy and clean
Bought these to replace outdated wooden slats on my balcony french doors. The instructions were easy to follow. The first one was easy to hang, but the second was missing one bracket (though it was the middle one so wasn’t necessary to have). I would think say they are full “blackout” but they definitely block a lot of light. They look pretty and seem to be well made.

Still bring in so much light!
They still bring in so much light on the edges! This is our 2nd try with trying to find black out shades. We may just have to resort to curtains. I’m not sure if we are not measuring correctly or what but there is still a huge amount of light coming in and it just will not work for this room.

Good window shade to block out the sun
I bought this along with the motor and remote control to install in a very high window facing west where the sun shines through in the afternoon and heats up the house. This window shade does a good job of blocking out the sun and heat. It's very easy to install. Mine required two brackets with one screw each and then the shade snaps into the brackets.

I just purchased the black-out shades because I am in a 1-level house and all my neighbors behind me have 2-level home. These block them out perfectly and look fantastic. Thank you to Jeanette for cutting them just as I requested because they fit great!!

Pretty nice product. I originally purchased with the thought that they would be temporary until I can decide what I want. Now I'm thinking I just might keep them; providing they stand the test of time. I do only recommend the blackouts for inside mounting only as you CAN see the foil lining. I'll update my review if necessary.
