Pictures speak for themselves. This is an exceptional value and beautiful piece of furniture. Pro tip, remove baseboards and side moldings to have hall tree flush against wall for the true craftsman builtin look. Then caulk around the edges.

If you need to organize schoolchildren’s coats, backpacks, etc., this is a great idea to use for that. Our grandchildren are here after school frequently and this works great for them and us. A place to put their things while they are here and we know where everything is after they do homework.

This hall tree and storage bench is absolutely beautiful and a very sturdy piece of furniture. My partner had to get it assembled because of the awkwardness and weight. I guarantee this will get a Ron of use and it'll look great by the front door. I've been wanting one for a long time to replace my open shoe racks and coat tree which were eyesores. I chose the right one and am very pleased and impressed with the entire unit.

I just finished assembling this unit and the construction and assembly process reminds me of another big furniture store. It uses a lot of cam screws/locks and wooden dowels to put it together. Here are my thoughts on this piece of furniture. The wooden dowel pins are too small for the holes that are pre-drilled for them. As you're assembling various pieces you'll find that one or two of them have fallen out. I'm not really sure what purpose they serve. Since they're so loose fitting they're not lending any strength to the unit.  There is definitely a smell coming from the glue or the veneer they're using. Most of the pieces are just cheesy particle board with a laminate over top. Some chemical they're using to bring it all together smells like new carpeting. If you're sensitive to certain smells you might find it bothersome. The back panels are held in with literally 50 something small wood screws. However, the manufacturer didn't leave enough wood for the screws to screw into without the particle board bulging on the finished side of the piece. It looks kind of terrible. This problem is most pronounced near the top of the unit where the storage compartments are. If you buy this unit I highly recommended pre-drilling these holes before putting the screws in so that the particle board doesn't bulge and possibly crack the laminate. It adds a more work but should solve that problem. The drawer slides nicely but I would definitely not put anything heavy inside it. The bottom of the drawer is just a thin piece of hardi-board and while there is a brace running underneath it down the middle, the brace itself is not very strong.  The instructions are pretty good except that some of the pictures are too small. For some of the steps it was difficult to tell what was a dowel pin and which was a cam screw. So, overall it's a bit of a disappointment. The overall fit and finish is just "ok" To be honest, I don't see this lasting more than a couple of years.

It would actually be nice for your most used entry to hang anyone’s coat. You can store your gloves, hats, scarves, and ear muffs in the drawers which we do. Assembly was easy but does take a couple of hours. I used the Styrofoam packing to assemble it on to prevent damage. Everything was packed well in the box as well. A lightweight drill or screwdriver will speed assembly as there are plenty of screws to hold everything well. If you use a drill, just be sure to set the torque at the lowest setting to prevent stripping out of holes. It looks nice and goes well with our white woodwork. The quality seems to be there which you will notice during assembly. We are extremely happy with this piece of furniture.

Overall, I am happy with the hall tree, but it has a very strong chemical smell that I smell as soon as I walk into the house. I'm not sure how to get rid of the smell.
