How do I remove the globe? What lightbulb does it use?
Thank you for your question. Use palm of hand to turn counterclockwise to remove the shade. It may help to knock lightly around the edges of the dome and then push up slightly when twisting the shade off. The fan uses two 9.5-Watt dimmable LED bulbs.
can you mount the remote on the wall?

The light in my fan keep turning on automatically. How can I reset so that there is no auto functionality. I want to be able to control the light and fan with the remote not for it to automatically turn on at different times of the day and night.

The remote and receiver have dip switches that can be set to any unique combination of up or down as long as the settings in the remote match the settings on the receiver. Please change them both to a different code. This will prevent the light turning on when you don't want it to. Is there a way to change the frequency on the fan and remote? It keeps going on and off in the middle of the night and we're figuring someone else has a device on the same frequency.

Will a TR-220A remote work with an older model Windward 4 fan that has a FAN-97 remote?
Thank you for your question. Technically yes this remote/receiver can work. We don't recommend doing that because you would have to splice the connector off the fan wires. This fan has a plastic connector for the receiver. To order a new remote or receiver please call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 and one of the team members will be able to help you place the order for the correct replacement parts.
Can I use the remote to control the fan, and 1 light switch to control the light separately? How?
Thank you for your question. The remote receiver is separate and the fan can be wired to wall control switches instead of the remote receiver. Please note that the fan can not be installed with both a remote and wall controls. You can use only a toggle on/off wall switch with the remote/receiver.
