Answer This Question

A:  No. It is not pre-drilled, but there is a marking showing where you should drill.

Q:My Closet width is 59" X 80". what size should I get? Will 30X80 work?

    Answer This Question

A:  What I'm doing instead is installing a couple of 30x80 slab doors with louvered top to replace the existing hollow-core birch bypass sliding doors. Simple install; transfer the wheeled hanging brackets from the old to the new and hang them in the track.

    by|Nov 29, 2022

A:  Doubtful. My 28" x 80" is actually 27-1/2" x 80" to leave 1/2" play for the pivot / mount side. Assuming the 30" is actually 29-1/2", it would leave no space at the sides for the doors to freely pivot open. They can be trimmed for height, but not width.

Q:My closet width is 54 inches x 80 in height, would 2 doors sizes 24x80 and 30x80 fit nicely together for that opening?

These doors are pretty and lightweight. They are easy to keep clean. We had wood doors like these in our old home. I feel like these will hopefully stay nice longer than the other. Time will tell. The closet doors that came with our home were too big

Ordered, picked up a store. I am 60 year old female who installed them so it is not difficult. It was nice that Home Depot put in my car for me and I did have my son bring them in and take out of the box with me. After that I was on my own. (figured I could recruit him later if I had problems) Installed to close off a room I am keeping 2 new kittens in! I wish it could also adjust from the top as I found my little kittens could squeeze underneath! Also wish, since it is separating a room, I wish I knew where to purchase knob hardware that offers knobs on both sides and a way to keep the door from opening. (I did order childsafety locks for bifold doors elsewhere....but wish Home Depot carried them!). Product was great. YouTube videos great for installation how to.

The hardware on the top of the door that guides the door as you open and closes is so bad it broke in 3 weeks. It is very thin and rides in the track which slowly cuts the plastic until it snaps off and cracks where it sets on the shaft. I knew not to just buy new hard ware as it would do the same thing so I made 2 of my own of heavier plastic and it works great. Sad that the material used could have been done differently to ensure this did not happen.

This highly quality bifold door was not difficult to put into place for the first time in my recent experience. However, the door was tight so I had to shave off some jamb trims to enable more spaces. It took me a lot of work, and then repainted the trims. Lastly, I installed the door smoothly. It looks nice like a beach master bathroom.

            Beautiful wood look!
Really nice looking louvered and panel bi-fold door. Looks like real wood and much lighter in weight than real wood. Has a nice sheen to it like finely finished wood. Hinges fit nice and work smooth as does all the hardware. The top half is louvered with about ½ inch between each louver for good air circulation and the bottom half is a raised panel style. We just bought a house that has a “water closet,” a toilet in it’s own little room with a full sized door. The open door blocks the sink and counter and is a major irritation. Soooo this bi-fold door is the perfect solution. It looks good, lets the closet air circulate while maintaining privacy. The one thing I do not like at all is the plastic screw hole plugs and end caps used and I marked the apperance as good solely on that basis. They are not the same color and not grained like wood and stand out to me. See photo. These screw covers are along the visible door sides at the top, middle and bottom along 4 edges. While they are tolerable I personally would like to see a closer color match with grain.

Pros: Installation is easy and the product is very pretty. Also comes with pre-measured center point (red sticker) to help with the drilling for the knob. Cons: there's indeed a line marking as mentioned by the other post (see attached pic for details). Looks like maybe created during the priming process or something (equipment dirty?). Should there's no marking I would had rated it 5/5!

              Special Use Pantry Doors
Needed new doors for my kitchen pantry. The opening was 36" wide and a single sliding door would extend too far into the kitchen. These where the most economical 18" bifold doors I could find. They are made basically of PVC, so they are durable. There was some scuffing that I had to remove with some paint thinner. But they suited my needs

A great replacement for a wood door!
We got this to replace an old wood door for my wife's closet. The old door, being wood, tended to gather dust badly, and cleaning it was very difficult. Some have complained that this door is a plastic over a metal frame. Quite frankly, I see that as a big plus. Since the outer shell is plastic, wiping dust off of it is a breeze! Often people tend to dismiss plastic as cheap, but there are often good reasons for things to be made from it. And, this door is not cheap flimsy plastic, but a sturdy, well-built door! In this case, one of those good reasons for plastic over a metal frame is weight. This door is much lighter weight than a wood door would be, and you'll notice that when you install it, and with the ease with which it swings open and closed. I do love the look of wood, and the manufacturer has done a good job of simulating the look of Teak wood, yet giving you the benefits of ease of cleaning and light weight that come with plastic. We love it! The only complaint I have is that the door did not come with instructions. However, the manufacturer has included instructions here on Home Depot's product page in PDF format and a short video. Thanks Home Fashion Technologies and Home Depot!
