I thought this was supposed to be hard and scratch resistant. You can scratch it with your fingernail. ?????

Yes, you are absolutely right! It was very challenging installing our floor because of the same length cuts. It was difficult not lining up the seems, because there was not enough variety of length cuts. Also, the amount of short pieces vs longer ones was way too many. We tied to use the short pieces at the edges, to be custom cut. And you are right. This wood indents and scratches very easily. Is a matter of fact, we are planning to remove the flooring from our family room and replace it with tiles, because of how badly the legs of our couch and chairs have indented into the wood, and because the amount of scratches! The only good thing we have found is the fact that we have no aunts in the Spring on our hardwood floors, like we did with our oak floors, and I love the width of the individual planks!

Description says "random lengths". What are the min and max lengths in the case?

The boxes are about 4’ long so the pieces range from about 9” to 36-40 inches. Lots of short ones.

This is the worst flooring I have ever seen. I installed it in our master bedroom and two other bedrooms and within 2 years it is worn like I have never seen. Home legends sent a rep out to check it out and said it was our fault it was scratched and wearing that we were dragging something across it. Yes we were dragging our stocking feet across it. We installed another manufacturers hardwood in our dining room, kitchen, and hallways and 99% of all the traffic in our house goes through those rooms and it had been down for over 8 years at that time and doesn't show the wear HomeLegends has. Terrible product will never purchase another thing from that manufacturer. I wouldn't even give it a one star but it made me put in a rating

easy to work with, not as bad as what some people say. milling on ends could be better. waste factor is low. be careful with nailer can cause slight damage on edges. been down a week, color is great, found only two scratches and no dents. two dogs they don't like it, it's to slippery for them to run on. three pieces out of 500 s/f with flaws. I am very happy with this floor so far. being a dark color shows more dust then light colors. it just means I clean more. it is a extremely rich looking floor. was going to put down throw rugs but at this point don't want to cover up the wood.

Awesome wood floor
The flooring I recommend to have a professional to install to get the most from the floor. We love the results and plan to use the extra wood on our upstairs hallway. Need to get a few more boxes to complete the job. Love the texture of the wood. I'm very happy with my choice of this wood flooring.

Dont buy it!
Salesman in the Jackson, MI store said this wood was harder than oak and that racket ball courts and croquet balls are made from Acacia wood. About halfway though the installation we noticed plenty of dents and scratches after only 1 week. Even my 95 lb mother and her walker caused indentations. Come to find out the wood is almost as soft as pine. Just from the way the installers saw cut the wood we new it was nowhere near the solidness of oak. We have another home in northern MI that is only 5 years old with oak and bamboo floors from Home Depot and they are doing great thus we took fell for the sales pitch on Acacia. We currently have a claim with Home Depot. Hopefully they will resolve this in some way where everyone is happy.

great product good look
I recently replace the second floor carpet with this product. It is about 1000 square feet of flooring. We decided to chose this product because we likes its color and it is inexpensive. I did the flooring all by myself and am fully satisfied with the product. 1. The flooring is well packed in boxes. Each box contains planks in several different but uniform lengths, and these lengths may vary from box to box. This is why it is called "random length". 2. The planks are of high quality. Of the 1000 square feet I ordered, just one piece has a long crack along one of its edges. But even that piece is used after cut. 3. I under laid number 30 asphalt paper and used a Numax flooring nailer. They work great with the product. 4. I used mitter saw for short side cut, table saw for long side cut, and jigsaw for precision cuts. All cut very well through this wood. 5. The result looks great! I posted some pictures. 6. The wood is a bit on the soft side. It may get scratched easily if you move a hard and heavy object on it. But I assume the same will happen to most hardwood floors. So we always set furniture on pieces of small carpets before sliding it. Although it is not necessary, I may wax it to add some shine sometime later. It can also heal small scratches.
