The wood is splitting just trying to screw in the screws... the first side worked just fine but this is so cheaply made you cant even assemble it correctly

My wife assembled this shoe rack in less than 30 minutes using a screwdriver. We installed this in our kitchen next to the door leading to our garden. As you can see by our photo, we make full use of the storage area. The wood itself is well planed and smooth to the touch. The bamboo wood is lightweight but sturdy, and very portable with top handles at each end. We're well pleased with our shoe rack and other than it being small compared to many others, we make full use of it for our needs. We highly recommend it.

Arrived in the mail fairly quickly, was not difficult to put together. I don't use it as a shoe rack, though - I use it as a small entertainment system. It sits in front of my TV and holds DVDs and other entertainment-related gadgets and things.
(A regular entertainment system would be too large for my purposes.)
I am happy with this purchase.
