I would assume that would work fine, but I'm guessing it would not work as well as if it was indoors, near an open window or door.
It is rated "commercial" because it can be used indoors and outdoors and can be plumbed to a continuous water source; it is also very high capacity. Having said all that, I use it in my bedroom to keep my dog cool on warm days and fill it from the top from a 2-gallon container. If I remember correctly there was almost zero assembly required; it comes almost ready to use. Wheels and grille covers were all in place on receiving the unit, basically you take off any wrapping and packaging, unwrap the cord and plug it in to ONLY use the fan. To use the swamp cooling feature, simply open the top door and pour in enough water to register on the sight-glass float to lower-right of front grill. NOTE: this white tubular indicator may not move up until about 5-6 gallons (of the 10.6 gallon capacity) have been added. The fill hole is a little small, about 1/2" in diameter, so it takes a bit of patience to fill this unit from top. The ice tray can handle about 2 cups of ice cubes and makes a sudden blast of cooler air when you really want it. Enjoy~!
if it is turned on the low setting, it should be fine. If turned on high, you would need to talk louder than what is probably normal or be close to the person you're talking to.
Yes, I use mine in my bedroom to keep my dog cool during the warm days~! Even the lowest fan and cool setting should be fine overnight.
this type of pad is best replaced...as is with any swamp cooler
Yes I bought mine on June 2020 and easy to use
Yes, I run mine without ice. It helps to use cold water.
the only thing I've have seen in safety it if you don't have a hose connection in the house and your filling with a pitcher of some sort it have a lip so it doesn't get to the electrical stuff, and it has its own power surge when you plug it in. My kids 10 and 13 have filled it up no problems.
