AnswersThese use Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). The diodes are tiny squares that set flush with the fixture body. A clear half-circle plastic cover, about 1 inch in diameter, covers each of the two strips of diodes that run the length of the fixture.

I loved the ease of installation and the appearance of the lights. BUT If using them in an area where you do any detail work and this is your main source of light, you might want to keep searching. The light is plenty bright enough to make my details visible (as compared to the lights I was replacing - 4' fluorescents), but it casts yellow stripes on my work surface. The stripes make the tabletop and floor appear to have dirty, yellowish stripes/lines, especially at night when the new lights are the only source of lighting. I'll keep them and hopefully get accustomed to overlooking the stripes, but I have to wonder if there was some sort of diffuser or cover over the diodes it might help diminish the stripes.

installing was a breeze i ran electrical outlets up in the rafters have been converting the garage to a work area and insulating and such but lights r nice n bright great price and they are linkable i did not use that feature though but good product

Linkable outlet needed to be fixed on both!
I was very happy with these after installing until I realized that I couldn't link one to the other! The outlet didn't work on either unit. I really didn't want to return these so I opened one up and discovered that the electrical connector had not been attached, on both. I wonder if this was done on purpose. Anyway, it was a quick fix.

These lights are super easy to install and are designed on the traditional dual tube 48" fluores...
These lights are super easy to install and are designed on the traditional dual tube 48" fluorescent shop lights we are all used to. the units themselves come wired with a three prong grounded plug. the units come with short chains and hooks to hang from beams , etc. they are very light in weight and are not a concern if you need to hand them with a good quality molly. There a no bulbs in these units, they use the LED strip lights which you can see in attached pictures so I cannot comment on their longevity. The light is bright white and does illuminate the area very week, i loved the ability to link a second light which is not near an outlet. I will be buying more of these for my work bench and laundry areas.

I installed these in our storage shed. I already had two LET lights similar to these installed, but I needed more light and now I have four. These are very bright and do a great job of providing plenty of light to be able to see what I need to. The installation has several options for hanging them. However, I mounted them directly to the ceiling with the provided screws. The cords are 5’ long and you can string up to 10 of these together. The plug is a grounded (3-prong plug). The mounting options are direct mount to the ceiling (like I did) or hanging them with the 13.4” chains. These include a 5-year limited manufacturers warranty. The installation was simple and within a few minutes, I was up and running. The lights were well protected in the packaging. I’m happy with these lights, they are a great option to get more light.
