I believe these were specifically made as direct replacements for the Honeywell electronic air filter elements... that's what I use them for. If you have a 1" thick frame mount I suspect this won't fit at all. Funny, when I go to HD and look for the 4" I can't find them... all they stock is the 1", so it shouldn't be a problem to find the 1".
I have a space guard filtration system. And it has to fit into the frame. Not sure on Honeywell but they might be the same. if that's the case you have to put it inside the frame then slide the frame into your cold air return.
Yes, in store. Easy to install
Hi Leo, this filter fits all Honeywell 20x25 air cleaners and most 20x25x4 or 20x25x5 in. Feel free to contact us at 1-800-468-1502 if additional questions or concerns arise. We'll be happy to help.
I think the confusion is over MERV vs FPR.... they used to use MERV but now Home Depot is trying to avoid comparing apples to apples by using a different standard FPR.... MERV 13 = FPR 10, MERV 11 = FPR 7 so one can gather that MERV 12 is somewhere near FPR 8. I think even the websites cant get it right yet :) For me its about the "exact dimensions" I want some thing that 4-3/8 depth and they come up short, to improve compatibility with other models. Problem if you have a gap you might not be getting full filter efficiency due to air leakage.
It looks like they have this on there website, tap link below. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Honeywell-14-in-x-36-in-x-1-in-Superior-Allergen-Pleated-FPR-9-Air-Filter-90901-011436/203641913
It’s never been in stock at my store, I always end up ordering it to the store and picking it up.
Hi Grey, Replace filters every 12 months, or more often if the filter appears dirty to the point of blocking air flow through the heating/cooling equipment.
