Q:Will T6 PRO Thermostat work with heatpump and propane forced air furnace?
by|Feb 6, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  If your intent is to buy two thermostats and give each appliance its own thermostat, then yes. If you are asking if one thermostat can operate two separate appliances then the answer is that is not a best practice and I would advise against it. I can’t envision a system design where that would not be problematic.

Q:Does this thermostat work with a 2 stage electric heat pump with aux heat and emergency heat?
    by|Jan 14, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  It has the capability, However I am sorry, I can’t give you a definitive answer as it would depend on the system design and the wiring prodigal strategy being employed by the installing electrician. I just ran into this on a job. Both the equipment and thermostat were compatible with what we wanted to achieve and the desired control. But due to the way the system was wired there was no way to get it done without changing the wiring. I would suggest you speak to the electrician doing the job to make sure it is compatible with the logic of your stems are wired. They are not all wired the same. This is a frequent occurrence when someone upgrades to a Nest or other Wi-Fi thermostat. The additional functions may require more thermostat wires than were originally run. If you or your electrician have further questions Honeywell can be reached at 800 468 1502

Q:how do i unlock my thermostat?
        by|Nov 12, 2022
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  That depends on the how it is locked. There is a process to unlock it if you know the code and then there is another process if you lost the code. The later involves taking the state off its base and grabbing the four digit code on the back. Running that number though a mathematical calculation to obtain the combination. Both procedures are detailed extensively on line. Including some great how to videos that are much easier to follow than offer. Before you proceed with either it is a good idea to put in a fresh set of batteries. Weak batteries cause thermostats to act erratically. People often assume the batteries are find because things light up. But in reality there is not enough power for them to act consistently.
