A:  If your intent is to buy two thermostats and give each appliance its own thermostat, then yes. If you are asking if one thermostat can operate two separate appliances then the answer is that is not a best practice and I would advise against it. I can’t envision a system design where that would not be problematic.

A:  It has the capability, However I am sorry, I can’t give you a definitive answer as it would depend on the system design and the wiring prodigal strategy being employed by the installing electrician. A:  That depends on the how it is locked. There is a process to unlock it if you know the code and then there is another process if you lost the code. The later involves taking the state off its base and grabbing the four digit code on the back. Running that number though a mathematical calculation to obtain the combination. Before you proceed with either it is a good idea to put in a fresh set of batteries. Weak batteries cause thermostats to act erratically. People often assume the batteries are find because things light up. But in reality there is not enough power for them to act consistently.
