A: Leaked at main seal. Needed plumber's tape to seal.
A: No, we do not make a brass finish in this item.
A: On Homedepot.com website, I found some that are 13". When you go to the website, type in "shower arm" and it brings up multiple pages of options.
A: We do make a 15 in. arm, but it is not sold on this site. We sell it with a showerhead on several models, but not the arm itself. This 11 in. arm will go pretty low. I believe that it would work just fine for you.
A: Less than 1 lb.
A: The product weighs 1 pounds.
A: I wrap a rag around the wingnut to prevent scratching and then use channel-lock pliers to tighten the wingnuts. Mine holds its position very well using this method.
A: I have had this model extension arm for 1-1/2 years. It has always held tight when the wing nuts are tightened. The shower head is medium size but is not a heavy brass head. The arm holds even when I put a little pull on the head. I do not have to twist the nuts very hard to get the arm to hold position. I think that you may have a faulty unit unless you have a heavy shower head. When installing, not use any lubricant on the connections beyond what comes in the joint connections. This extension arm does not have the little ridges on the face of the mating surfaces that keep the unit from moving. I like that since I can move it up and down with some pull to adjust the height without having to loosen the wing nuts. I am very please with this unit.
A: They can be turned to tighten.
